Battery-Powered Security Cameras: 100% Wireless, Portable & Affordable
Unlike wired security cameras, battery cameras need no messy wiring. They stand alone, watching over places where power and Internet cable cannot reach. In some cases, solar-power charging option is availabe for those rechargeable battery powered cameras, sparing you from dead-battery concerns.
Battery cameras are usally small-sized and having hub-free reliable network connections. Within the WiFi range, you can easily install a WiFi battery camera anywhere, or just put it on the table. Even better, 4G battery cameras run on mobile data networks; they can go anywhere around the world like your smartphone.
Battery cameras have relatively budget-friendly prices and barely need installation costs. As technology develops, low-cost security cameras are no longer necessarily related to low quality or blurry footage. Some of the newest battery cameras are now equipped with 2K 4MP SHD, motion spotlights, long-distance night vision, two-way audio and more!

Learn moreWiFi Connected Battery Security Cameras
Usually, a security camera can record and save videos to its local storage like an SD card or a connected NVR. But a WiFi battery security camera can do much more as long as it's within the WiFi range: full control via App or Client, access to cloud storage, live view, and even real-time communication. No matter where you are, WiFi connected cameras can send immediate alerts to your phone once an event is detected. You can take quick actions like vocally warning off the intruder via the camera's two-way audio and turning on the spotlights remotely to welcome family or friends. If you don't want too many insignificant alerts, you may want to consider those with advanced detection technologies. Some security cameras are able to detect only warm objects (like humans or animals) and some even can discern people and vehicles from other trivial objects. You can configure those detection modes via App or Client. And more, you can filter playback video clips by those detection modes. The biggest advantage of a WiFi battery security camera, however, is that it needs no Internet cable and no power cable to achieve those fantastic functions.
4G Connected Battery Security Cameras
As the name implies, a 4G camera is running on 4G mobile data network, which requires a SIM card but no network cable. In this way, it is free from spatial limitation, ideal for places where WiFi and power are inaccessible, like your rural cabins, farms or warehouses. You may want to take into consideration the mobile services plan and its cost, which varies. Also, the cellular data consumptions are not always the same, depending on how many times you watch live streaming, receive motion detection alarms, etc. But on average it won't make a dent in your wallet.Battery life is also a big limitation for a 4G IP camera if it is used far away like in the wild. The good news is, there are solar powering options for 4G battery cameras. With enough sunlight, the camera companied with solar panel can work continuously all year round.
Outdoor Battery Security Cameras
Battery security cameras are also suitable for outdoor use. Nowadays, most battery cameras are made rugged, designed to withstand rain, snow and extreme weather conditions. IR night vision also earns a point for outdoor battery cameras since light sources are rare outside a house. Some battery cameras may be equipped with spotlights for color night vision and deterrent effect. If you are worried about packages being stolen from your porch or the car being broken in the driveaway, installing a battery camera outside your house watching over the front door or the driveway should be a quick and effective fix. The camera will immediately notify you once a suspicious person or car is detected. Some outdoor battery cameras may allow you to turn on the spotlights via App to scare the intruder; some have the two-way audio for you to warn off the unwelcome.
Dual-Lens Battery Security Cameras
A battery security camera with two lenses not only spares you messy wiring; they cost less. In a sense, having one dual-lens camera is having two cameras installed in the same place for a wider viewing range, and you only need to pay for one.The two lenses in one camera allow Reolink Duo Series cameras to have an expanded view of 150°. Traditional single-lens cameras with a wide viewing angle have a common problem of image distortion; some details may be sacrificed. A dual-lens security camera, however, has two views to form one wide view. The images captured by each lens are nicely combined together to reproduce a less distorted panoramic view.It is a good choice to monitor a long street passing your front door or the wide backyard for its advantage of covering a large range of areas with one camera performing like two.

ALL NEW ARGUS 3 PRO
Very very nice camera. Looks and feels like a $500 camera. This has lots of upgrades from the Argus 3. Dual wifi 2.4GHz and 5GHz, and it works great. The PIR is all so good, I had no false triggers.<br>It had night color video and all so now 2K up from 1080p, and you can see the difference, way better...and then there is the light, wow so bright, you can leave it on/off up to you. It's all done by the app, same as the siren. Even better, you can record your own voice message to play when motion is detected...And the battery, well I have had it 4 weeks and it's on 100% still, but I am in Australia, so I unplugged it from my solar panel and use it a lot, and I had it on 2K mode and only used 18%...Overall it's a fanatic camera. For the price it's the best in its field.

I have the camera and solar panel mounted on an aluminum plate backed with magnets so I can move it around out our jobsite and follow the construction phases. I've had it indoors for the past month without access to the sun and have found the battery to last 12 days before needing a charge. Charging takes 4-5 hours with a rapid charger which is pretty reasonable but when possible, I still recommend the solar panel since it keeps the cams fully charged and allows for nearly constant streaming., I'm currently on a prepaid T-Mobile package that expired a few days ago so I am about to switch it to the EIOTCLUB SIM card that Reolink recommended. I will follow up on how that procedure works out but I'm sure it was just as easy as the T-mobile card. Basically I inserted the pre-activated card and powered it on and it worked.

I have the camera, have been using it for more than 4 months and am satisfied. Price-performance ratio is more than ok. At the beginning there were a few connection problems with the WiFi, but with the help of the support and these could be remedied., Since I don't have a power connection at the installation site, charging with a solar panel was very important to me. This works very well after I have hung the panel facing southwest. For this, however, I would have to buy an extension cable, as the standard length was not sufficient for my configuration.
