I purchased the 12MP system because it had more options than the 5MP system I was looking at and was only $80 more when on sale. I purchased the RLK8-1200D4-A system, it has person, vehicle and pet notifications (the Pet notification is in BATA now but works great). You can set the push notifications for any camera and set the sensitivity which is nice.
The Reolink Client is for access on the PC or MAC and it also has an app to view on your phone.
I found that the app is easier to use and has a better control of the setting then the client has.

Pros:
• Easy to set up.
• The Client application for PC or MAC work great, No need to have a monitor connected to the NVR to operate.
• App is great to use.
• Cameras are crystal clear and the color at night is great when there is extra light or when the built in spot light comes on (Auto or set a schedule). With no light it is like other B&W night cameras.
• Adjusting the cameras are easy and easy to mount.
• Reolink provides water proof connection covers for the either net cable.
• The Reolink support web pages provide all the information you need to use this.
• The cameras have sound and have a speaker to talk through.
• The push notifications are great when set right. (No false alerts).
• The Web tutorials Reolink has are great to see how some functions work.
• Reolink has provided an extra 6 months to their 2-year warranty (which is great)!

Cons:
• Setting the alerts can be tricky because they happen and you really have to review the footage o see what may have set it off. (Time consuming but worth it).
• Running all the CAT 6 wires.

I have had the system for a few days now and am still learning how to work the system but it has been a great system and experience so far and I am glad I purchased it.

PS: I have looked at other system and found with the tech support and the warranty, also reviews this was the best for my needs!

Bought this system recently to add as additional security at my aging parents home. Having used wifi cameras before, wanted something more reliable, that wouldn't need batteries recharged regularly & was recommended this by a friend. Out of the box it was really easy to get the NVR and cameras setup in the app. Hardest part was running the cables aroud the home, but it comes with 4 really long cables for each camera which was more than enough for what I needed (if you've a larger 2 storey house you might need to purchase extra long cables though). Had it all up and running in less than a day & have to say I'm really impressed with the video qualtity, even at night. Once the detection had been tweaked a little to only include humans/vehicle, the app makes it really easy to scan through the previous detections & has been a great for peace of mind for any potential unwanted visitors/intrusions, especially as they live in a rural area. So impressed, think I'm going to get a set for my own home now!

I've installed three Reolink systems now over the past 10 years, all PoE-based, and they've consistently delivered great results. Setup is straightforward, video quality is excellent (especially with 4K models), and I love that there's no need for monthly fees thanks to local storage. The PoE setup makes wiring clean and reliable. Overall, Reolink offers solid performance and great value. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a dependable security system.

My first Reolink camera’s were the Argus solar, wifi signal strength depending on install location would vary. I decided to go with a POE system and I’m glad I did, amazing video quality and easy to set up. I am very happy with this system and I plan on adding 4 more camera’s, I might just go with the bullet ones next time.

I upgraded to this system after 3 years of using a cheap wireless IP camera system. POE is the way to go for home security as long as you have the know how to wire them up or the determination to learn with some trial and error. These cameras have amazing night vision and with the 4K resolution the digital zoom stays surprising clear when trying to look at stuff up close. The dome cameras also looks clean and sleek.
