INSTALLATION:
As I live in an open-plan house I was expecting great results, but with a dividing wall and cupboards I'm sure that the Fisheye's optical intelligence was pushed to its limits. But with a few settings
tweaks ("Brightness and Shadows") I am very very happy with the results and I do wholeheartedly recommend this fisheye camera.
~Installation is very easy if you're looking for a temporary desktop camera to document meetings by recording or broadcasting to other sites around the corner or the world.
Permanent Installations...
~Wall installation requires some thought to find the best place and height for your situation. Leads can be run down the wall or inside the cavity.
~Ceiling is more tricky as it's overhead work and you have to decide on the best orientation of the 'UP🔼' position (see full review) on the camera and base to know what your looking at when you open the Reolink app.

THE APP:
The Reolink app really makes this camera what it is with its multiple defished viewing options for every installation option in Live and Playback. And your not just a passive viewer, but it's an interactive experience where you can manipulate the shapes, pan, tilt and zoom some views.

Smart Home: Google/Alexa:
After enabling Smart Home
streaming in the Reolink app I was able to stream live Fisheye and Expansion views to Google and Amazon devices.

TESTING:
-Camera Recording and Playback can be continuous (Timer) and motion activated with Person Detection and/or other motion(Alarm).
-The motion recording list can be separated from continuous.
-I set Alarm Detection Sensitivity to 41(high) and Smart Detection > Person to 55 (medium)
~Notification speed was calculated after the siren sounded...
>2 seconds over Wi-Fi.
>6 seconds over 4G.

RECOMMENDATION:
YES, I do recommend the Reolink Fisheye camera wholeheartedly.
If you want to look out for and protect the well-being of elderly parents, family, home, business and its contents then this is the camera for you.

I really wanted to love this camera with its impressive data sheet features and low price. However, installation options are limited (e.g. I would like an easy way to mount it on a tripod which I cannot solve without constructing something), The picture has a significant fish-eye effect (see attached screen shot). As others have mentioned, the audio is not great. And, the Mac client is not that robust.

The PTZ features do work reasonably well and I am keeping the camera though will not get all the use from it I hoped. I have a few other Reolink cameras and my favorites are the Argus line with a solar panel. Unfortuatnely, those don't support steaming into my NVR solution. I have not yet had a chance to connect this E1 Zoom camera to the rest of my surveillance system due to the mounting and video quality compromises I have yet to resolve but I can access it from the Reolink desktop and mobile app. It was reasonably easy to set up just like any other Reolink camera.

This is the first PTZ camera I've purchased, I do have a few other Reolink PoE cameras and have owned many many IP cams before these. My initial setup experience was I wanted to unplug it, put it back in the box and throw it out the window. When you turn it on, it starts beeping and clicking and won't shut up. There's no reason it needs to make that much noise. First you scan the QR code on the device to identify it then you enter your WiFi password which generates a QR code for the camera to read so it can get on your WiFi. This worked for me eventually but it took a few tries all while the camera was making obnoxious beeps every second. Once I get it configured, I went straight for the PTZ function and was immediately disappointed with the lack of fine control. Wanna move the camera to the right a little bit? Too bad, it's going ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHT. There's no nudge feature, your only option is to press in the center, slide your finger in the direction you want to go and hang on for the ride. This seems like a basic PTZ requirement to either have a nudge function or a progressive movement rate based on the distance of your finger from center. Image quality is good and everything else is on par with other Reolink cameras which I'm generally happy with.

It arrived today May 17, 2023 when i pre ordered this device it was to shipped the 22 of this month so to my surprise it early. I love the video Quality and how it will cover my whole room with one shot. The Camera is smaller and thinner than i expected, which is another plus. the different selections of FOV for this cameras is wonderfully. The only con i have so far is the play is only in the fisheye and not in the other views that you can choose when live streaming. I hope there was a step that i missed and I can do play back with multi screen or learn the views in as individual cameras to better angels if needing to share footage

Leider ist es in der neuen Version der E1 Zoom nicht mehr möglich, die eingestellte Konfiguration der Einstellungen als Backup auf den PC zu speichern! Warum eigentlich? Wer komplexere Einstellungen für seine Kamera einstellt muss so bei einem Ausfall die Konfiguration immer manuell wiederholen und das nervt. Kamera und Bedienung sonst OK!

this was or is my 1st camera from reolink .i use it to keep a eye on my dog when i am out ..it will tell me when he barks and i can the see what is going on by my phone , and even tell him to stop .i have it set up inside looking out .i love it

i've several Reolink camera, image quality is good on each, good detection.

but the E1 Pro don't have HTTP server, so i can't integrate into Home Assistant ! the E1 Outdoor has this fonctionality !

The Reolink 5MP Super HD camera works fine with Blue Iris except for one minor item. The zoom feature in Blue Iris works backwards. When you select to pan in the camera pans out and when you select to pan out the camera pans in. The same is true for an older Reolink R2 that I have. Other than that everything is fine. It also has a good web interface even though some have commented that you can only change settings with the smart phone app. I found that it does have a web interface that allows for setting anything I can think of.

The camera itself is great (particularly for the price)--image quality is excellent, and setup is straightforward. However, the app used to monitor these cameras won't allow audio from more than one device (and won't allow you to cycle through the audio feeds), rendering it ineffective for monitoring more than a single child overnight. It's surprising to see the marketing pushing this as a baby monitor solution when it can only safely do so for one child. I've submitted a request through support, but it sounds like this one lives in the parking lot and I may need to pursue a different solution unless resolved (will update review if/when this occurs).

This E1 is a nice little camera for the money with a sharp image and very good night vision (in my garage). I like the fact that it is AC vs. battery (I have 3 battery cams) because with the ios app I can view live stream constantly if I care to. Motion detection seems to be too slow to use as a front door camera as their is a lag time that is difficult to get around, and I have 400 mbps wifi service. Still, I didn't buy the cam for a front door product. I would recommend this cam.

this one i all so have inside my window looking out ..just turn IR lights off or it will reflect back off the window ,if you have a light out side like i do its like day light at night , i have a street light , just no outside sound...all motion settings still work great .and your camera is safe ..i love it

I am returning my E1 because it failed to setup. It had a loud, annoying ping but never gave the voice prompts necessary to setup the camera. Yes, I read the instructions and followed them exactly. I had a similar issue with a Reolink Go, but that worked after doing a reset. The reset on the E1 did nothing.

  EDIT. I would change this rating to a 5 now due to fantastic help from the Support team (Olivia). I rate the camera and support 5. I rate the instructions a 1. Tip….when turning on first time ensure it is HARDWIRED via Ethernet cable. Also, ignore the part of the instructions about voice commands. There are no voice commands anymore. The instructions are out of date. Once setup on cable, unhook it, and then use wherever your WiFi reaches.

Setup was very easy. The image quality is fine.
But I mounted the cam upside down under the celing to monitor our dog in a L-shaped hallway. The tilt is not enough to watch the space directly under the camera, so the dog can hide there (and does, as it is the best place to overlook the whole hallway).

I have 2 Reolink cameras and I'm satisfied with the hardware (the image quality is clearly good in comparison with competitors) and with the software which is very simple. However, I don't understand why it's impossible to turn the PIP off with the E1 Pro, whereas it is possible with the Argus. Would it be possible to add this functionnality ? It does not look very difficult and it would make this product perfet for me.

Die Kamera ist super leicht zu montieren, leicht einzustellen die App findet sie auf anhieb und liefert ein super Ergebnis; nur habe ich alle Kameras was bei mir sind auf 4k Kameras von Reolink getauscht nur diese hat eine geringere Auflösung aber das wusste ich ja davor. Die Kamera hat viele einstell Möglichkeiten für Wand Decken Montage nach ein wenig probieren hat man für seine Zwecke auch die richtige Einstellung gefunden. ich kann diese Kamera nur Empfehlen.
Die 2 Wege Audio funktioniert auch auch super aus der Ferne ein wenig Verzögerung muß man in Kauf nehmen

On my sellers pages there is writen, that this camera supports instant view through cloud.
As I do not have public IP address, it seemed to be fine for me. Reolink SW allows just record locally onto SD card.

I have two, one a PoE fixed camera and an E1 pan/tilt. Both nice cams for the price point.

The E1 is supposed to be wifi but the signal was so terrible (and my router is only about 25' from cam), that I went and purchased an ethernet cable and connected to the router this way. This turned out to be awesome!

I use both cams to keep an eye on my horses and chickens. I do have other cameras (Swann wifi which FYI works great wifi, and a PoE Dahua PTZ) which I also use in the barn, outside. I like the E1 so well I went and bought another one for my Hen House, and an E1 outside so I can keep an eye on the horses outside.

Great cam, but purchase an ethernet cable to connect to the internet, and you will be good to go.

FYI - the Reolink cams I have work on my Swann app which is great, so I don't have to use multiple apps to view my cameras.

It's disappointing that there is a RJ45 port without POE, the same with no WEB GUI. Ex. cannot set the static IP etc. Will not by anymore.

La telecamera FE-W e piccola e molto performante, purtroppo dopo il primo aggiornamento, che nelle impostazioni è automatico, la visione 180° ampia è scomparsa (quella che si vede su sito) quindi rimane la visione fish-eye 360° e una quarta con 5 fette di immagini con un formato complessivo ridotto e poco piacevole. Ho contattato l'assistenza, mi hanno fatto avere un firmware precedente ma non quello che c'era nella telecamera al momento dell'installazione. Le tre stelle sono solo per il fatto che quello che vedi non è quello che comperi. :-(((

Ottima videocamera di sorveglianza.
Mi è arrivata poche ore fa e l’ho configurata in due minuti. App ben fatta e completa, permette di impostare tutto a proprio piacimento. C’è la possibilità di impostare sia le notifiche push che via Email e in quest’ultimo caso di riceve solo il testo, solo l’immagine oppure il testo con la foto o il testo con il video. Le notifiche possono essere sempre attive oppure decidere le fasce orarie e i giorni in cui riceverle o meno. Inoltre è possibile fare l’iscrizione al cluod scegliendo il piano base gratuito che consente di aggiungere una sola camera con storage di 7 giorni e 1GB di spazio, che è quella che ho scelto io inizialmente. Ovviamente se si vuole aumentare lo spazio e aggiungere più camere si può scegliere un piano a pagamento mensile o annuale in base alle proprie esigenze ad un prezzo inferiore rispetto alla concorrenza. Si può decidere anche di utilizzare una scheda SD in alternativa al cloud.
Ottima la qualità video sia diurna che notturna. Possibilità di escludere delle aree dal rilevamento. C’è una sirena integrata che ha un volume discreto, non vi aspettate una sirena spacca timpani.
Al momento le sensazioni sono super positive. Vorrei provare anche delle camere da esterno da mettere sul balcone.
Ottimo prodotto. Acquisto sicuramente consigliato.

The camera is easy to install and use. Picture quality is good, many options to choose from BUT the most important one is missing. You cannot power down the camera, it has to be physically unplugged. Can this be fixed via a software update to the app??

The instruction said I would hear a voice command to help with set up. I did not hear a voice but a slow but steady ping like a submarine radar. I answered the in print question Did you hear the voice ? I answered no for half a hour which was a big circle. Resetting 20 times ending in the same place. Then I answered yes even though I did not hear it talk to me and finished set up. It worked fine after that. It did not ever have a voice. I know what it should do because at the same time I set up two Argus 2 cameras with no problems.

I've been distributing different models of REOLINK cameras and NVR and the quality is exceptional.
Audio is clean software management easy to roll out.And most of all my end users are pleased. Looking for more business with REOLINK. The tech support are always knowledgeable and eager to help .

Pro: small, not obtrusive. Cons: like all reolink products the documentation and instructions are near zero. Tech support gives conflicting answers. I’m somewhat lucky in being involved with multiple smart hoke platforms. I cannot imagine how difficult this would be for a typical homeowner who wants more than to just pair it with a smartphone. One big warning: the set up is with very, very loud voice prompts. Don’t try this as a project for when the family is asleep! Also, make sure you pair it up first at a table where you have access, then mount it where it might be out of reach. Lastly, like all Reolink night vision, the IR is sure to attract every light seeking bug. It makes for great kitty videos chasing them.

saw these at my work and thought id'e give it a try. after upgrading the firmware of my nvr, WOW! how cool is this. viewing from the nvr is kinda, meh. the view on the app is impressive, multiple views are available and where I was going to mount three cams, this one will do. the firmware upgrade was def worth it as well, if you could just hide the black boxes on the nvr! this is def a cool lil cam!

Acquistata su Amazon , dallo shop reolink , l'ho collegata alla rete di casa via cavo e si è connessa immediatamente ; ci sono state alcune difficoltà per attivare la trasmissione dei messaggi di allarme via email a causa delle restrizioni di gmail ma con molta pazienza il tutto si è risolto .
L'audio non è il massimo e richiede alcuni tentativi per trovare il volume adatto che permetta di comunicare in modo accettabile .
Unico vero problema è il la disconnessione dovuta allo spegnimento della telecamera , temo si tratti di un problema di surriscaldamento , la telecamera è all'interno di un appartamento , lontana da fonti di calore e di luce diretta ; il problema si è già presentato due volte e la telecamera è in funzione da tre giorni.
Unica possibilità di riattivarla è stata staccare e riattaccare l'alimentazione.
Qualcuno lamenta il medesimo problema ?
