Dear Steph, if you mean to view the cameras connected to the NVR, you can view them locally on a monitor if there is no internet access.

Only 8 cameras are limited to connect to this NVR since it only has 8 channels, if you add more than 8 cameras to it, there will have no enough channel for the extra cameras.

Having recently moved house I felt less secure by not having CCTV, after many ours of research I purchased the 5MP RLK8-410B4 system and an extra 8MP camera to cover the back door and the tank for heating oil, oil theft is rife in the UK countryside. The system was easy to install, the power over ethernet alleviated the need for an electrician and the system configured itself. The picture quality is fabulous, far exceeding the expensive albeit old system at my previous residence. I have recommended Reolink to my friends and family. The only negative I can find so far, and it is nothing really. The supplied CCTV signs are pale blue and don't stand out and so they are useless. Besides this the kits are excellent value and I will be adding a wireless camera to my system to cover the inside of my garage.

Hi,
i have bought one these packages almost two Years ago, and have installed them along side 4 additional RLC-420 cameras.
The package is awesome! It came along all the required items for setting all up, up to the minor detail (even screw drivers, stickers, mouse, extra cables, and so on).
Super easy setup, intuitive, clean and fast. Devices are fully plug-n-play.
I have my house fully covered now, with 9 cameras, 8 connected to NVR and 1 additional connected through the LAN router using a very simple PoE splitter.
Live almost for two years now, with ZERO downtime!

I bought this PoE Kit about one year ago and since then I have been improving it by adding some other Reolink Devices. I'm very happy about it because it's been working great, it's easy to maintain and the software interface (both the Android App and the Windows Client) is extremely user friendly. Nevertheless the customer support is friendly and always willing to help, also open to suggestion and very customer-centric. I have no doubt in recommending Reolink products as well as Reolink brand for its professionalism.

Real easy to hook up, way better than BNC systems. I connected all cameras to NVR before installing on my house everything worked great. I currently have analog system at business the reolinks system looks outstanding will replace my business with reolink poe system. My only problem wish the water seals were already installed on cables. Hate I have to cut and re-crimp RJ45 to install water tight seal. But overall its still a great system and built in mics on cameras are a plus

Remembering about my previous experiences with video surveillance systems and video cameras (like, Foscam), I was not expecting much from Reolink. From what I read online, all systems in low-price end have one flaw or another, people usually complained about glitchy software, low quality images etc.

When I received product and tried it out, I was blown out! The system did not only meet, it really exceeded all my expectations! The installation was super easy, and should I mention it was easy not only for wired cameras, but also for wireless, where wifi settings are involved, wifi camera was added to the whole system with all features (like playback etc). The system just worked.

The software is amazing, intuitive and very easy to use. It works smoothly across multiple devices, whether it is native software running on the box, software for iPad, or for Windows. These are different platforms, and I am a programmer myself and I know what it takes to support all these different platforms - you basically have to build software from ground up on each. Reolink programmers implemented the same features across all these different platforms, so the transition from one to another is very smooth and intuitive. I was expecting to read tedious instructions in hopes to figure out how to perform playback or zooming on the captured video, but all these features are so intuitive, that after trying for 15 minutes I felt like an expert, - you learn pretty quickly. The features provided by the software are beyond what I could have dreamed of.

The quality of video is amazing, I was especially amazed with the quality of night vision, - it was like my whole driveway was well-lit.

Should I also mention that product support is unbelievably amazing too? I had a few questions, they were answered almost immediately. I also realized that I needed to exchange couple of purchased cameras to cameras of other type - after I spoke with installers, they recommended to use different cameras in two locations. I was expecting a restocking fee, some kind of red tape or workarounds, but customer support handled the exchange very smoothly and amazingly quickly.

For the sake of completeness of this review, I did notice a couple of "glitches" in software, which are not in any way affected my overall satisfaction with the system. At first, the Windows software could not connect to the box, I was not sure what it was really, maybe because I used word "password" as a password? Nevertheless, when I started software next day, it connected to the system just fine, and I didn't have any connection issues since then. The other "inconvenience" I noticed is when I connected 5-th camera, the software for windows stopped displaying feeds from all cameras, unless you explicitly click on the camera "window" (I later figured out that there is a drop down menu which makes this simple). On the other side, software for iPad does not have that "glitch", it displays feeds from all 5 cameras just fine.

People usually do not expect much support or quality from overseas products. This is definitely not the case for Reolink. Their product is amazing, their programmers and customer support are amazing, and I am highly satisfied with the system and the whole experience. I highly recommend this system to anyone in need of home security/surveillance, the system that is very well built and supported - a quality which we don't see very often nowadays.

I’m very impressed with this system. Cameras are solidly constructed, but small enough that they tuck away neatly on the sides of my house. I had contractors doing some other work on my house when I installed these and they were surprised at how quickly I was able to get four cameras installed and running. PoE makes it very simple to install.
I added a 420 dome camera as it looked even more discrete near the front door.
I’ve been using the Windows and Android version s of the app and have been impressed with its ease of use and feature set. One thing I’d like to see would be the ability to upgrade the NVR firmware from the app. Currently you need to plug in a flash drive and do it from the console. This was easy enough when I was prepping the device for its install, but I have the NVR in a cabinet with no monitor, so I either need to pull it out for a upgrade, or find a spare monitor to hook it up. Being able to securely do this from the app would help simplify maintenance.

Top notch product, I have many other cameras from other manufacturers, but have slowly begun to change to Reolink because of the high quality image, responsiveness to feedback and good focus on the cameras. I also appreciate the speed that this arrived in; very fast shipping!

Really easy plug and play. Great picture quality even with multiple cameras recording at once. With the PoE systems would be nice if the other wires could be hidden or removed as it makes it a little bulky to work with and unnecessary if you only need an ethernet cable.

Ordered this kit on black Friday. Came in within' 2 weeks. Hooked up the NVR to a spare HDTV via HDMI and upgraded the firmware with a flash drive without an issue. The flash drive needs to be formatted as FAT, this step is included on the instructions. The step by step instructions are easy to follow for a non-techy. Hooked up the cameras to the NVR and upgraded the firmware without an issue. The GUI (graphical user interface) makes it really simple to rename camera's, format the hard drive, and setup the other features. I connected everything before actually mounting the camera's under the eaves of my roof to make sure everything works without error. It's been a solid month and I haven't had a problem. I have also been communicating with Reolink via Facebook chat and they have been very prompt with service. Customer service and firmware upgrades are key in the security field and Reolink produces that in a fast manor.

Hooked this system up to monitor the exterior of my house. 4 cameras gave me the flexibility to cover a 360 degrees of home. The install was simple and the power wires were easily long enough. Camera are easily adjustable to point in any direction. The night vision is excellent. Would highly recommend.

I purchased and installed this system and I am truly impressed with the build quality of the cameras, quietness of the NVR and design of the software options and phone app. I conducted extensive research for all systems and found Reolink to have the most available options on cameras and NVR compared to all others.

I have this system for myself, and just installed another one for my parents. I very much want to give it 5 stars, but there are just a few quirky things that cause me to give 4 stars for now.

Pros: The system is easy to configure and get started using the P2P technology which allows you to scan a barcode with your phone and immediately connect to the cameras individually or to the NVR. The resolution is good, but could be better (more on that later). Everything that is required to get started is included in the box including Cat5 cables and mount kits. So far the system seems reliable and has quite a few configuration options so you can tweak it just right. The software for the PC & iPhone/Android work pretty well with only one minor bug that I've noticed so far (see cons). I also love the fact that these cameras all come with built in microphones. They perform much better than I expected. Now if they can just add a speaker so I could talk back :). There are many more good things to say about the system but to save time I'll move on.

Cons: The cameras come with waterproof connects to protect the ethernet connection from weather. This works great if you are running brand new ethernet cable and terminating it afterwards, but these connectors do not fit the pre-made cables that are shipped with the system. It's a minor detail, but for anyone installing in an environment where moisture may be an issue, you would need to cut & replace one connector to install this. I just pushed all of mine up into the attic since I was mounting to wood.

There is no remote control with the system. I was disappointed about this because my parents wanted it on their main tv in the living room and they cannot change the input options without getting up.

I ordered cameras that had SD cards built in. Unfortunately the SD card doesn't seem to be usable when connected to the NVR.

The resolution is listed as 2k (4MP) quality, but in comparing this system with others, I don't think the clarity is any better than a true 720p system. That being said, for the price of this system, the image quality can't be beat.

The network time sync is currently not working on the latest firmware, but I'm working with Reolink to correct this hopefully soon.

I personally don't like the idea of the P2P bar codes being used on my system. This setting allows data to be transmitted by to a server so you can easily connect to it from anywhere. This is great in theory, but obviously poses some security risks. Because of that, I disabled this feature and used direct connection setup through my router with port forwarding which is less risky because at least I control it. On the mobile apps, I have to delete the P2P option every time I load the app before it will let me connect to the NVR via IP address. This seems to be a bug and something that is likely fixable. I will also work with Reolink to take care of this.

Again, this isn't a perfect system, but it is so much better than the 2-300 systems out there, and about half the price of other systems offering only slightly better quality/features. For the price, I don't think you can beat this system and the support team seems to be pretty responsive so far.

I was not sure which security systems brand to buy since all of them have pros and cons. Finally I took the decision in favor of Reolink. Shipping was a bit slow, but within acceptable timeframes. Configuration was of medium complexity but I managed to have it all done in a few days.

Pros:
- Upgradable
- 4MP PoE cameras
- HDD included
- Exceptional night vision quality
- Sound. You won't find many outdoor security cameras with sound.
- Very good application for Apple iOS.
- Stable remote access.
- Flexible motion detection configuration. I've tuned each camera depending on its location - to have it sending adequate alerts. By default it was sending too many.

Cons:
- Web browser access/management is different from browser to browser. I tried IE, Firefox, Chrome. All of them have some issues but in different menus. I finally mixed the original application for windows and iOS to fully configure the system.
- Noisy fan on the NVR.
- RJ-45 connectors on all 18m included cables were not locking into a standard RJ-45 CAT.6 patch-panel. Had to cut all connectors on one side and redo them (not a big deal).
- If recording is continuous, there's no motion-detection labelling on the time frame. So, without alerts you don't know if there was a motion or not. Reolink, if possible please add this feature in your future apps.

Overall, I'm satisfied by this system and it fully covers all my needs.

Just received my package order from Reolink. I used this system to replace an existing PoE security system from another brand. So happy to have. I even used my existing wiring and PoE switch from my previous system. Surprisingly the NVR detected all the Reolink cameras. I love the user interface, so easy to configure and use.

I purchased this unit about 6 months ago. There have been a few minor issues but with customer support being very good I have had no trouble maintaining this unit. Customer service is by far the best I've come across very useful very helpful. Cameras are quite rugged and withstand the abuse of being out in the weather.

=>Couple of concerns I have had was with the addition of new cameras the C2 not wanting to connect with my Network. Continuous login problems. But have not contacted customer support yet on this trouble.
=> I would like to see a faster Advanced feed than 16 x. It takes you a long time to go through seven days of footage. Maybe make the advancement ball that they offer online compatible with this unit.
=> also when you set up alarms on the NVR you cannot just go through your footage and look at your alarm times they do not show up. this issue would be of my most concern. For instance if you set an alarm for motion and somebody comes to your door at 2 p.m. it should Mark on your timeline motion at 2 p.m. but at this time it will not register.
=> offer a camera with more than 4 x Zoom

I would definitely recommend this unit for a beginner but would be suitable for almost any application
