Luckily managed to bag a couple when they briefly came into stock a few weeks ago.

Image quality is brilliant, I’ve had zero false positives so far which is impressive. Works flawlessly with human detection, activating the spotlight and siren.

The sound that comes out of the camera for two way audio is slightly distorted, although I don’t really plan on using this.

Amazing value, very impressed so far, would recommend.

I purchased four of these for my home. I loved them so much, I replaced our community surveillance system at our entry gate with four of these and an NVR. For our entry gate, I purchased two wide angle and two narrow angle cameras. The narrow angle cameras are used for license plate cameras during entry and exit.
With the latest firmware, I was able to turn off the IR on the plate cameras to avoid overexposure due to reflection. There is plenty of ambient light and you're able to configure the picture/color settings for both night and day.
Reviewing recorded footage is fast and easy. I review in a lower resolution and then download in full 4K HD. With the standard NVR, we get about two weeks of recording with audio at the highest bitrate. The cameras only record on movement, but with all the traffic, some record almost constantly.
For my home system, I purchased my own POE switch and installed 256GB SD RAM cards in each camera. No software or computer is required. The cameras handle recording on their own. I can log in using the Windows client or my phone to monitor them live and download footage through the network from the SD RAM cards.
You can't find a better solution for the price. Solid firmware. Solid software. Quality resolution. Fantastic little cameras!

Hi.
I first bought one Reolink camera when i bought my home and now i have a big ecosystem of Reolink cameras. Its an amazing product especially when it come to being wireless. It does depend on your network speed on how fast it loads the feed but it def is crisp and clear. Best part is free cloud storage you can use but need to be renewed. The PIR motion sensor is very good and you can customize it to your needs. It has all the features you are looking for and the product ships fast too. Great product and a definitely recommended for everyone.

These cameras are perfect for seeing down a long driveway or path. reading number plates on vehicles clearly from quite a distance.
The IR night vision is great also. I had no problem identifying a fox as an intruder just recently.
the camera works great in low light situations also
PC software runs great!
I use a SD card and the Reolink software on my PC and on android.
I have run the software on my pc and mobile for over 12 months and have had no issues the entire time on either system.
Quick and easy to set up also.
I'm constantly recommending Reolink products whenever the conversation comes up.
Reolink has blown me away with their products because they just work as promised every time.
Best bang for buck!!!

A big thankyou to Reolink for including me in the RLC-1212A trial.
The setup into my RLN8-410 NVR was true plug and play, by the time I opened my Android app the camera was already visible.
After a quick firmware upgrade on the Camera it was ready to check it out.
I didn't get to see much of daylight image yet but here is a night time shot.
In this night shot I am standing around 8 meters from the camera. These images are an actual screenshot on my Galaxy Note 9. (They are not saved images from the Reolink client)

So far I'm very impressed with the camera quality and functionality.
In the images I have posted these are the default settings on the Android app.
The daylight image I have have here is saved from the Reolink Android app. I love the great wide angle view it covers the complete front of my property,

The only downside I can see at the moment is at night the spotlights dont seem to cover a wide angle and appear to be more pointed towards the center, this is not a big issue as you can see from the images if anyone was to go near our cars we would see them.

This is a fantastic camera, I have 7 various Reolink cameras and several are going to be upgraded to the 1212A. I couldn't be happier with it. This has found the perfect blend of features and price. The spotlight works great and with the combination IR illuminators the low light performance is hard to beat.

I have been using Reolink cameras and NVR systems for MANY years now. I have roughly 20 of their cameras placed on 4 properties in 3 different states. I have upgraded each of them over the years and Reolink is the only system I trust and use. I work in the security industry located in the Silicon Valley. I have experience with security systems that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to cheaper systems the general public can afford. I replaced one of the B800 cameras on my main home to test this camera out, and here are my thoughts.
The camera is aesthetically pleasing that will fit in any place you may want to put it. The setup is simple when attaching it to an NVR system as I did. I have Reolink cameras in a variety of extreme climate environments. In Arizona the temperatures reach 117 degrees and in Lake Tahoe California the temperatures can drop below zero. This camera has had no issues just like its counterparts.
The clarity of the image is outstanding (I have attached images from my B800 and the RLC-1212A for comparison). If you're looking to cover a large are this is the one for you! As you can see the B800 has a narrowed field of view compared to the RLC-1212A. The image quality day and night are equally impressive.
The additional useability of this camera as opposed to previous versions are everything I personally have been waiting for. The spotlight, 2way audio and siren are a tremendous help. Also, with the new alarm filtering options I have completely stopped the continues false alarms of the B800, The AI for all the cameras still needs some work but because of the added filtering options you can pretty much stop a multitude of false alarms you couldn't before.
The user interface for both mobile and PC are pretty straight forward, it is reliable and easy to use.
This camera along with any other products Reolink offer I highly recommend. I have not had any unfavorable problems with software nor hardware Reolink hasn’t taken care of quickly and professionally. Customer support can be a little slow via email as they are in a completely different time zone, but they do respond and they will help with any problems you may encounter. Replacements and returns are also not a problem.

I recently bought two complete systems with the 12 Megapixel cameras and NVR's, and one of the cameras was defective right out of the box with a shaky image with lines through it. Replacing this camera with one of the others resolved the issue, but after a couple of weeks of email runaround, I have not been able to get this defective camera replaced.

My first impression was that this thing is huge! Reading through the list of features I quickly understood why. That's a lot of features to pack into a housing with the two-way speaker likely being the biggest factor.

AI and Time-lapse are pretty much standard now so I was most interested in testing out the spotlight and zoom features. We don't have any flood lighting out back of our house so it was an obvious choice for placement, we also use our rear cams for wildlife viewing so you know I love the zoom options. I replaced a B800 so in addition to the 4K resolution and wide FOV I was already enjoying, I gained an impressive zoom, AI smart detection, a flood light, two way audio and a siren I'm sure my neighbors will love, lol.

I have been patiently waiting for the 4K version of the RLC-423 PTZ cam and this is also the first chance to demo what 8MP and a 5x optical zoom might look like, The 822A with it's 3x zoom is decent but it left me wanting more to see the outer edges of our pond. A couple quick tests with the 811A has me impressed and now even more excited to see an 8MP PTZ version. In the meantime, I won't mind spying on our turtle basking platform with this cam for a few months.

Currently the siren and flood light can only be triggered through the mobile app but I expect that to change once the appropriate firmware updates get pushed out to the NVR's. All in all, I couldn't find any negatives worth mentioning with this cam and am looking forward to see what wildlife we can spot with it.

The smart detection works but it will still send false alarms in the area you don’t want it to trigger motion alarms. I’m sure this can be fixed via firmware update.
I live on an a semi busy street and block the street out from motion detection, but it false triggers always. Making the camera useless when it comes to motion detection.
The non-smart 5mp version does not have this problem when it was installed in the same location as the new smart 4K version.
Reading the reviews I’m not the only one complaining about this issue.
The 4K seems useless in my opinion cause is causes the camera to constantly stutter and misses frames completely. So I have to reduce the resolution to that of a 5mp camera to record or live view normally without stuttering. I wish I would of went with another 5mp version instead due to constant stuttering in 4K and false alarms that are triggered in the area you don’t want it to trigger.
If these two problems were fixed I would rate it 5 stars.

I have over 60 cameras deployed using three different brands of systems. Reolink is my favorite. I use the 4k cameras. Each has it's own benefits. The 12 MP is a wide angle to bring in an entire area, and the 8 MP is also 4k but a narrower angle so it's zoomed in compared to the 12 MP. So you wouldn't use a 12 MP looking down a hallway. The files play back with no special player. The picture is nice and clear and it will record plate numbers at the right distance and lighting. (up to 100 to 200 ft in daylight with the vehicle moving slow)

I have two 811A's, one is fairly protected under the eave of a roof and the other is mounted outside with no protection. There is also an Argus Eco mounted near it. During a heavy rain the 811A loses connection and system information, only way to fix it is to press the reboot button on the attached cable. I think the issue is the cable and not moisture inside the camera, which I should be able to see an obscured lens if that was the case. This is the only camera mounted outside and exposed to the elements (there are five battery powered cameras that do not have this problem) that is a POE. Beware, while the camera works as advertised ... that reboot cable is a problem.

I have two of these, both outdoors with one under the eaves of a house and the other mounted to a tree outside. The one in a tree has failed multiple times during/after a rain, it gets stuck in the reboot mode. Close inspection shows moisture gets inside either the cable (strange but possible) or it gets inside the camera (no cloudy lenses). After it dries out you have to reset it, which means going through setup again. If it is mounted high, as they say you can, then you have to climb up a ladder each time to fix it. So far it has been fixable but still a hassle. The other camera has given me no problems, so basically a 50 - 50 chance of it failing/working for me. Tried to get help but they just told me to press the reset button and reinstall. Otherwise, the camera is a good camera outside that one issue.

Really Awesome 4k Camera, i have Reolink 5MP from 3 years, its really a good reliable camera but 811A worth buying. I tried the 4k (without) zoom, not bad but the field of view is not the best.
Definitely recommend 811A and cant wait to be in stock again to buy another one.
Thanks Reolink for manufacturing such a very well build camera.
My wish for the future : 4k Cam with 10X optical zoom :)

Out of the box the camera is quite big and sturdy. Decent aluminium built, no cheap plastic feel.
Connected it to a 12V adapter I still had, so I didn't need to buy a POE injector. I have a Synology NAS, so no need for a dedicated recorder. Connecting to Surveillance Station on the NAS went well, except that my browser doesn't support H265, so I can't change the detection zone there, but have to do it via the camera or the reolink app.
I have the camera next to our front door.
The field of view is more narrow than I hoped, so I can't see the entire driveway and I feel theres a blind spot. I think you can approach the camera undetected, which is not what you want...
The detection is still a bit too sensitive, so I get too many warnings at night of bugs or spiders or whatever. I'll have to finetune. However, is it possible to record every little event, but only get alerts for larger events? Basically, I want the camera to record when anything moves, but I only want an alert when someone is coming to the front door (so different sensitivity for recording and alerts)??

  Update, we are now several months later. On the other side of the front door I installed a video doorbell, covering the other side of the driveway. So I re-adjusted my Reolink camera and accidentally discovered that the field of view can be wider than initially reported... In the app, I went to settings-Display-Quality. Under "Clear" I bumped up the resolution (wondering why that wasn't at Max on default). Then I discovered that all of a sudden I have a much wider view!! Now I see much more of the driveway; the lower resolution somehow gives you a zoomed-in view. Now it's much better!
  With regards to the notifications; I finetuned the sensitivity, but mainly I added a schedule to the push notifications, so I only get notified during the day, while the camera still records on motion events 24/7.
  Now with the installation of the doorbell camera, I turned off notifications completely and I only get notified when someone actually rings my bell.

I was fed up with the inadequate Ring system. The video quality of Ring is pathetic. The video is so compressed, you are unable to zoom in. When I bought the 811 cameras with the 5x optical zoom, there's no going back to Ring. You can even see license plates on moving cars!

Vorweg: Super Produkt!

Bei unserer Video Überwachung (18 Kameras) haben wir uns für Reolink als Kamera entschieden, da wir hier einfach mit das beste Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis vorgefunden haben. Im Innenbereich kommen die Modelle RLC-410 und RLC-522 zum Einsatz. Im Außenbereich das Modell RLC-511 und geplant war das Modell RLC-810A.
Die Kameras sind in die Synology Surveillance Station (NVR) eingebunden.

Die Modelle RLC-410, RLC-522 und RLC-511 arbeiten sehr gut. Das hatten wir bei dem Preis ehrlich gesagt nicht erwartet. Die Einrichtung ist denkbar einfach und komfortabel.
Die die reine Bewegungserkennung recht anfällig für Fehlmeldungen durch Regen, Spinnen und Falter ist, wurden RLC-810A beschafft, um im Außenbereich für zuverlässige Warnmeldungen zu sorgen.
Die Einrichtung ist auch hier sehr einfach und geht schnell von der Hand. Die falschen Warnmeldungen sind dabei erheblich zurück gegangen.
Einziges Problem: Die RLC-810A kann den hochauflösenden 4k Stream nicht per RTSP bereit stellen. Somit stehen uns keine hochauflösenden Aufnahmen im NVR zur Verfügung. Eine lokale Aufnahme auf eine SD-Karte in der Kamera kommt bei unserem großen Setup leider nicht in Frage. Daher mussten wir die Kameras leider zurück senden.
An dieser Stelle nochmal vielen Dank an Reolink, die uns mehrere Möglichkeiten zur Lösung des Problems offeriert hatte. Leider waren diese für unseren Einsatz nicht geeignet. Die Rückgabe innerhalb der 30 Tage war problemlos möglich und verlief sehr zufriedenstellend

I have three of these cameras in our setup and they are fantastic. The newest model they send out now fixes any issues you might read about with water in the reset button. This has a seal on the button now. The cameras have great features and make going through footage and searching and filtering a breeze.

I have now had this camera in use for ~3 weeks and overall I am quite impressed with the improvements in the motion detection (i.e. Person/Vehicle Detection). With this improvement, I am now able to enable real time alerts (sent as text messages) on my phone when there is legitimate activity occurring in my driveway. Previously I had to disable this as there were far too many false positives as the technology could not discriminate between type of movement (i.e. leaves, trees, etc.) With the RLC-510 I did find that I had to tune the motion sensitivity along with different setting for daytime vs night. I still need to further tune it a bit as I still get a few false positives at night when it is raining. Overall I think this is a huge improvement. The quality of the camera and picture is fantastic just as I would expect from ReoLink. As a suggestion, I would think it would be nice to have a motion detection tuning feature that help the use know what in the image trigger the motion detection. Happy to provide additional input on this if this is something that is considered.

J'ai acheté trois pièces Reolink (trois cameras) avec capteur d'infrarouge et lumiere led pour les trois.
Le RLC-540A Dôme résolution 2K+, le E1 Outdoor PTZ Zoom Optique 3X en 4K, et le RLC811A 4K zoom 5x Optique c'est le meilleurs des trois par se que déjà il possède un meilleurs infrarouge et un éclairage puissant, c'est diodes sont un peux plus gros que les deux autres plus vous lui rajouté la qualité de la fabrication métallique comme le RLC540A aussi métallique, pas le E1 Outdoor PTZ lui il est en plastique de bonne qualité, les trois font leur job pour contrôler l'entourage de la maison (il m'en manque encore une à acheté) toutes vont fonctionner sur du PoE juste un câble Rj45 Cat6 pour chaque appareil avec un switch Netgear le Gs305PP non ménageable pas besoin pour une utilisation simple de la maison, les trois cameras reconnu de-suite par l'appli Reolink Client sur iPhone et Mac pas besoin de leur enregistreur (gadgets NVR et resté comme un vigile devant l'écran de contrôle) bien pour une entreprise , société grand magasin je dis oui, pas pour particulier c'est juste qui fait en plus enregistrement de 2TO et plus si besoin, sinon tout les reolink ont un emplacement de carte Micro Sd Max 256go largement suffisant, les modèles future auront 512go, ou sur iCloud de Apple je conseille pour 3euros par mois 200go chez Apple.
Sachez que vous ne pouvez pas supprimer les enregistrement sur carte alors je conseille d'enregistrer sur iCloud ou disque dur externe mais d'abord vous allez devoir enregistrer sur la carte Msd qui se trouve installé dans la cameras pour ensuite les enregistrés dans un support d'enregistrement disque dur externe clé Usb etc etc tout les réglage ce font dans le menu Reolink Client et c'est maintenant que vous pouvez tout supprimer en une seule fois sur la carte Msd et retrouver la carte vierge et repartir de zéro, Menu simple mais mal dénonciation des mots et de confusion pour comprendre en bon Français et pour pas mal de personnes d'ailleurs. Il faut jouer avec le menu pour trouver le bon compromis j'ai passer des heures en appartement pour comprendre avant de les positionner et installés au mur extérieur. Une latence de 2 à 4 seconde en moyennes de la capture. Mon préféré c'est le RLC-811A de toute la gamme par ce que c'est le meilleurs (mon avis).
Pour la détection j'ai tout mis les positions haute pour capter de plus loin,. quand j'ai effectué les tests quand j'ai mis en position au milieu ou bas ça capte mais il faut s'approché de plus près pour que le signal se déclenche si je met une camera c'est pour être averti des le premier pied dans la maison c'est pas pour nettoyer la lentille de la camera.
Je remercie les employés de chez Réolink pour leur sympatie et encouragement, jamais il m'ont laissé sans réponse toujours là pour vous répondre même si c'est le lendemain au plus tard.

I would have come back to my previous review, if I had put protective spikes on my camera to prevent birds from landing on my camera. Very useful thing. If I could also solve the problem with the cobwebs, that would be nice.

Well made and good resolution but, no two-way audio. The camera is small so it should fit into more places.
The fact that it does not have two-way audio is definitely a mark against it for me. It seems Reolink has not migrated that feature into their non-battery operated cameras and that is unfortunate because it is a handy feature.
I did not have any issues mounting the camera but I did need to determine the geometry of the mount and camera prior to mounting on the wall, otherwise, the camera would not point down without readjusting the mount.
My Reolink 16 CH NVR-410 had no issues seeing the cameras and I like the POE feature.
I am going to replace at least one of my 810A cameras with a 1220A camera though. The 810A still can't give me enough resolution to read license plates clearly from 90 feet away.

This is decent camera for someone budget shopping. The RLC-810A has fantastic daytime clarity. The setup with the NVR was easy, plug and play. I like the new mount that can be hand tightened once you adjust the view angle. The camera is well built and solid.
As for the rest well, for starters the field of view is narrow at 87 degrees compared to a previous wifi brand I had at 120 degrees. The night time view when first installed was disappoining. After reading and watching numerous videos I was able to get it a little better but still disappointed with the result not being as good as the wifi brand I prevoiusly had.
As for the app it would be nice to have a widget so when a notification pops up you can press and hold the widget from the lock screen for a preview video. This avoids waiting for the app to open then load all of the cameras from the NVR at one time then clicking on the event then waiting for that to open.

At first it triggered almost every minute, even when i turned down sensitivity below half way, and i took a long time until my android got the alarm from the right time, sometime around 20 minutes. than i downloaded the latest f.w. (.177) and upgraded the camera, now the sensitivity is at 45/50 and i got almost no false alarm on pixel based motion, and no false ai-based motion at all. so if you have not upgraded your camera, do it!! :)

Fidèle client Reolink, j'ai acquis cette caméra il y a une quinzaine de jours.
L'installation et la mise en service est très simple et très rapide.
Malheureusement c'est le modèle que j'aime le moins (je possède aussi: RLC-511W - RLC-511 - RLC-410W et C1-Pro). Les réglages pour la détection de mouvement sont assez moyen. Si vous mettez une détection haute, elle filmera presque en continu et saturera la carte sd, et si vous mettez une détection moyenne elle n'enregistrera pas grand chose !
Pour ce qui est de la reconnaissance véhicules/piétons, il y a aussi des ratés, une moto sera considérée comme un piéton par exemple. Idem du champs de vision qui est un peu trop juste.
Quant à la qualité de l'image, je m'attendais à beaucoup mieux par rapport à une RLC-511. De plus, il n'y a pas de zoom optique, juste du numérique qui n'est pas top !
Bref, je suis déçu par ce modèle que je ne recommande pas. Il ne me reste plus qu'à attendre les promos pour m'acheter un autre modèle car je pense rester fidèle à cette marque qui ne m'a pas déçu jusqu'à maintenant.

4 cameras mounted outside, 2 of them without any kind of protection, they never failed.
Quite impressed with the image quality, witch is very good, not to impressed with the sound, and can be easily integrated in any NVR, in my case with 25mt CAT6 net cables with no losses in connectivity.

I have been trialing the new RLC-1212A camera and have been very impressed with the picture quality which is crisp and clear.
I still have not completed the sorting out the sensitivity as I am mostly interested in person triggers and not cars as I live on a busy road. I would also prefer if the lights were triggered by motion, rather than always on in night mode. The setup was very simple on installation as it was immediately recognized but I still prefer the old software setup as it was much more detailed and user friendly

This camera was given to me to review.

I will first start to say that just like their other cameras, this camera was easy to hook up, login and get going with viewing the area around my house.

I use a third-party app to record the videos, but had no problems picking up the camera feed.

So, for install, no problems.

Either it's during the day or night (look at pictures), I had no problem in viewing what is going on in my front yard. The quality at anytime, I can see what's going on. With it being 12mp, I was able to get that clear picture to see all the details.

So picture quality, great.

With some of the features, like LEDs, person/vehicle detection and alarm function do have their place.

I did have to play with the person/vehicle detection and it's settings. Especially at night. I was trying to use the alarm function, but was doing false negatives and ringing in the middle of the night. I'll try that again since the person/vehicle detection is working well. I just can't have the alarm ringing my neighbors up.

The alarm, it's loud enough to try and deter a person away. You can speak into the camera as well from the app, so that can work as well. Just make sure you set your settings correctly to detect the proper things and not a bug for the alarm to ring.

Lastly, the LEDs are good. I use them every night. HOWEVER, 2 things: 1) I wish that the camera could sense a person, then turn the light on (like the flood light over the garage) Then 2) I wish the LEDs would be on an astronomical timer. Because in a few weeks, I'll have to reset my timers to turn on and off the LEDs because it'll be darker sooner and lighter later.

If those things were fixed, this would be a 100% good quality camera.

So, features, they're good, but could be better.

Mit dieser Kamera ist eine super Dokumentation unseres Hauszugang ganz einfach. Mit der App hat man auch sofort Zugriff auf das aktuelle Bild oder die letzten Ereignisse.
Die automatische Beleuchtung in der Nacht (wenn man zB nach Hause kommt) ist ein zusätzlicher Bonuspunkt!

I am quite happy with the RLC-810a, this is an excellent product if you have a Reolink NVR, using the Reolink client or by itself (using a microSD card).
I am happy with the smart detection feature, this allows you to reduce highly the number of false positive. Another great improvement is the adoption of H.265 to encode the 4K video, this is really a game-changer regarding the storage. Currently, my RLC-810a camera holds the same number of days on 4k recordings as my 5mp RLC-520. I only have a 32Gb microSD card and it keeps +16 days retention. Yes, the combination of Smart Detection and H265 are a game-changer and this Reolink camera has it. Also, I am glad the camera has a new .html5 web interface, this makes disappears my worries about Flash player going away. At last and not least, the image quality of the 4k does not have a comparison, definitely, I am migrating my old 2mp cameras to this 4k.
The downside, why I am giving 4 starts instead of 5. First, If you are looking at the camera expecting to downgrade to 5pm, don't buy it yet, If you downgrade the resolution you lose about 30% field view, I have contacted the support and they are aware and working on the issue, that will be fixed in upcoming firmware upgrades. Second, 4k recording using BlueIris is not supported on this camera yet, it seems to be an issue with Onvif/RTSP protocols and the H265, I hope they fix this soon. But in any case, none of these issues are a major concern for me since; a) smart detection works perfect, b) I am like the camera in 4K, I have not a reason to downgrade the quality, c) I have too much flexibility and options to access the footage ( Mobile apps, computer clients, FTP). d) The easier of the setup as a stand-alone device, that my plan now is moving away from the Blue Iris. Definitely a nice security camera at a pretty fair price.
I would give it 4.5 stars but it is not an option.

Rlc 510a replacing my old 410 and what a difference with the old one.
I have in total 8 cameras like a 12mp, a 8mp zoom, CX410 color etc, and all of them are more expensive, have more functions and have more pixels. But I really like it.

So why is better?
Well it's not actually better, it has no 2 way audio, no led lights, no color night vision, missing some functions, but it has all it needs to be a good affordable with very good image quality camera.. day and night, and thats why I think its best value for money.

But the most important, it is still 4:3 aspect ratio and this can be very important for some people, its a little bit like IMAX, higher image and less width.
Ideal in tighter spaces, like houses wich are closer together, I really wish more higher quality cameras had 4:3 ratio, its such a waste of data and image surface when a 16:9 cameras films more wall or neigbor than you wich for.

I purchased this camera in hopes of being able to finally do away with false alarms from insects, spider webs and a whole host of other reasons that prevent me from turning on notifications. We already have a mix of 18 4K cams so the sole reason to purchase this unit was to test drive the AI features.

While it doesn't function quite how I anticipated, I am finally able to filter out the nuisances and just get alerts that actually mean something. Now that AI is on the scene, I honestly don't see why they would even continue offering non AI cams.

I'm still fine tuning my settings and working through some glitches with support but overall I am extremely pleased with the Reolink's first AI offering and will be purchasing more in the very near future. Unfortunately our cameras are still quite new and I can't justify upgrading all of them just for the sake of upgrading but, I will be updating a few key cams where I need more reliable motion detection. I'm checking daily for the release of the RLC-820A Dome.

To answer why 4 starts instead of 5, Long story short, there's still a few glitches to work out as well as resolving compatibility across multiple platforms. Read the fine print to ensure this camera is compatible with your NVR prior to purchasing.

Bought a bunch of POE cameras and NVR. The quality of the night vision is super impressive. Really happy with it. Install was very simple though one of the cameras had issues which Reolink promptly replace. No issues so far.

Habe diese Kamera gekauft um ein Gebäude von mir das 400m entfernt ist zu überwachen. in der Nacht funktioniert es leider auf diese Entfernung die Nachtsicht nicht, das liegt aber nicht an der Kamera sondern an der Entfernung, auf die Beschriebene Entfernung der Nachtsicht funktioniert sie Tadellos, da ich es vorher getestet habe; Die Led Spot und der Alarm und die 2 Wege Audio funktionieren wie beschrieben

This RLC-810a is a test model from Reolink. The unit is installed in a multi-unit condo overlooking the street. I was hoping to record license plate information from suspicious vehicles on the street in front of the condo, but the resolution is not good enough. The camera is set with the backlighting option at night does allows identification of vehicle make and color. The audio recording option is useful for example creating a record of gun fire which is unfortunately frequent in city living.
Its taken me some time to install because there was no hardwired internet access outside the condo building. I was successful in setting up an outside wireless client point using a TP-link CPE210. This seems to work very well. The AI detection of vehicles and people is pretty effective, but does occasionally fail to detect both vehicles and people. The AI has missed dog walkers and slow moving vehicles.

I have used 2 of those for almost a year. I am satisfied with the functionality. Vehicle and person detection works well. Resolution and quality is very good. Both windows and android client application fulfills my needs. Recording works well too. I recommend this camera.

I purchased four refurbished cameras and have been using for about a month now. Great cameras, very easy to set up, picture quality is great, pretty much works as described. Vehicle detection does miss occasionally, although the vehicle movement is recorded as an event, just not vehicle. The only problem I have found is one of the cameras is mounted outdoors in the weather, and despite being IP67-rated, is affected by rain. I initially had the camera mounted up on a horizontal surface with the camera pointed down as far as the mounting would allow. This appears to expose an opening where the camera meets the mounting at a ball joint that seems to let in water. I lose the connection in heavy rain, with the connection only resuming after a period of sunshine about a day later. I have changed the mounting to a vertical surface to reduce this exposure. It now survives rain better, but still loses connection after a long period of sustained rain.

Camera is nice but has no resolution as expected. Work with tech support and performed several tests also including firmware update, nothing to do, same quality as Reolink 5M, you cannot perceive an improvement of image comparing to cheaper model even with competition. Since was ordered from Reolink store it is supposed that you send the camera back at your expenses that is quite high to send it back to Germany. After very long discussion I proposed a model change and after exhausting discussions finally they support to send the new camera (Argus 4 Pro with solar panel) andling costs for new delivery and return back of RLC1212. This shipment takes one month and received the new camera that i'm testing right now. I appreciate support team attitude but I'll never acquire reolink product from direct store, too complicated, management process very slow, even if the team is very gently and supportative.

In addition to my 11 other personal Reolink cameras and 14 I use for training sessions for work, I now own a total of 26 cameras made be Reolink, including 2x Reolink Go PTZ. I have also installed a number of reolink cameras at my parents house and they are very satisfied with them. I have a large property and i have previously used two other large brand competitors (which I dumped for Reolink). That being said, I have a significant amount of experience with this brand and clearly fell they are far superior to other brands in terms of picture quality, ease of use as well as value for price. I was happy to be able to test out this particular product and here are my observations and conclusion:

Initial Setup:

Physical Setup: Placement and adjustment of the camera was simplistic. One issue I did find is the screw-on housing for the ethernet connection is not large enough for outdoor, direct burial ethernet cable as it is too narrow. It will only fit an indoor cable. I have had to leave the cap off as a result, leaving my POE connection exposed. I have noticed this design issue with other Reolink cameras as well and hope Reolink takes notice of this comment for a potential future design change. Even though I subscribe to the cloud service, I still install an SD card in all of my Cameras. I tried a 256 GB micro SD, initialized it and the setup was complete.

Software setup - I setup with both the Reolink client (Win 10 Pro 64) and via the Android app (LG Velvet). The setup for both was very easy and only took minutes. This is one reason I love the Reolink, the fact that the Cameras are so easy to set up that anyone can do it. Even the LTE cameras, which require an APN, are the easiest LTE cameras I've ever installed. I did notice a couple of bugs. In the andriod app, I am currently unable to turn notifications on. When I try to toggle this feature, it will just switch back to off. Additionally, If I tried to add the camera to smart home, it would defaultt back to disable. The third issue I found is that I was unable to connect the camera to the cloud. Each time I tried, it would state the operation has failed. I'm sure these are minor firmware issues that the developer team at reolink are already aware of and are in the process of an update.

Operation - I cannot fault these cameras at all in terms of quality of picture and operation. I jacked the sensitivity up to maximum and I kid you not, the camera was picking up vehicles a kilometer away. The day vision is crisp and clear with no lag, but even more impressive was the colour night vision. Out of all my cameras, this one is by far the most superior in terms of the night vision. We have feral outdoor cats and not only does my camera detect the motion of the cat beside the trick in the driveway, but I can also clearly see on the video which cat it is. If you look at the attached photo, the truck is approximate 60ft from the camera. Another very impressive feature of the camera is the field of view.

Conclusion:
Would I but this Camera if I had not tested it? Absolutely. Yes, there are some minor firmware issues to correct as well as the issue with the housing for the ethernet connection, but for the quality of the video, stability of the stream (No down time and quick boot on power outage), compact size, and ease of set up, this camera is definitely worth considering adding to your system.

Whilst this is an excellent camera something to look at for people living in codditions where fog can be an issue.
See the videos attached as its very thick and the camera surrounds turn black as the spotlights just rebound off the fog, this would be similar to your car headlights doing the same thing

Ich habe die Kamera über einen POE Switch angeschlossen. Einrichtung und Inbetriebnahme liefen wie gewohnt schnell und reibungslos am PC sowie in der Android App ab. Die Bildqualität der Kamera ist auch bei dunkleren Bedingungen hervorragend. Ich bin nur kein Freund der permanenten LED Beleuchtung für die farbige Nachtsicht. Lässt sich bestimmt nicht anders realisieren. Das ist auch mein einziger persönlicher Punkt, weshalb die Kamera von mir keine 5 Sterne bekommt. Reaktion, Erkennung und Trennung der erkannten Objekte ( Auto, Person usw. ) funktioniert sehr gut. Werde weiterhin Produkte von Reolink verwenden.

I was upgrading my home's security cameras and what made me decided to purchase the RLC-810A was the great price and the camera features. All in all I'd say the day time picture quality is excellent and night time quality is also great.

The firmware upgrade (v3.1.0.764_22022803) really fixed alot of bugs and issues I had with the camera and made it a pleasure to own.

There is room for improvement in terms of the cameras auto exposure configuration during night time where I do sometimes get some slight ghosting.

I love the new pet detection feature that's currently in BETA, it is now able to identify my neighbor's dog and not do any recordings if it detects a pet which is great as I'd sometimes get person detection triggers for my neighbor's dog.

It's also pretty easy to integrate the reolink camera into Home Assistant for smart home automation, for example I was able to get all my cameras up and running and setup an automation that would trigger an Alexa notification if a person is detected on the camera at a specific time of day.

This is my fourth Reolink camera. One thing I like about this set-up is that I can easily access all four cameras from the app I have installed on my desktop computer. You can set up the screen to show all four camera views at once (or up to 32 cameras), or you can open each individual camera separately. I have included a picture below of the 4-camera view as well as what the 32-camera view would look like. From the desktop app I then adjust the settings on the cameras to what I need and review all videos that the cameras recorded. You can easily save screenshots and videos directly from the app to your computer with a few clicks. It is very easy to do.

On this particular camera I like that I can can adjust the sensitivity of the motion detection separately for people, vehicles, and other objects. I have my cameras set to only detect people and vehicles because I do not need to be notified when a squirrel or dog walks in front of the camera. By limiting the sensitivity and types of objects that the camera detects it greatly reduces the number of false positives that the camera detects. It is a very convenient feature and seems to be very accurate. The lower number of detected incidents makes it easier to look through the saved videos and see what has occurred on my property while I was away.

The resolution on the camera is very crisp. Even when zooming in on an object the camera still retains a very clear image. I have included a picture below of a couple of vehicles that I zoomed in on. The vehicles in the picture are roughly 100 yards away from the camera. Overall the image is very good for something that is zoomed in so far. The quality of the resolution makes it possible to get crystal clear images of anything that is within 50-100 feet of the camera, which is sufficient for most people.

The spotlight feature is a big improvement over the night vision on my other cameras. Once an object gets in view of the camera the entire area is illuminated with the powerful spotlight and the objects are recorded in colored video. This feature will certainly help to scare away any intruders, and gives you the ability to have a high resolution color image of the person or car, even in the middle of the night. There is a also a "talk" feature that allows me to speak to a person through the camera. I would not necessarily use it to have a conversation with someone, but it is great for sending a message to someone that you are watching them and to let them know it is time to leave your property. I have included a video below of myself walking out and triggering the light.

One negative issue I experienced was that the camera view had a red hue the day after I installed it and I attribute that to the infrared light interfering with the image. It only occurred on one day and was resolved the next day without me having done anything to correct it. This was on the second day that I had the camera and has not occurred since, so my assumption is that it was a glitch in the camera adjusting to its first transition from night into day. I have included an image and a video from that day to show the reddish hue. Again, the camera was back to normal the next day and the problem has not happened since, so I am assuming is was a one time thing.

Overall this is a very good security camera and is worth the investment. The high quality video, crystal clear zoom feature, spotlight, and the ability to adjust the sensitivity make this camera ideal for keeping an eye on my property.
