  • Amazing Camera

I put four of these up on my house so that there is one on each side. Having the 180 view with the tracking camera makes it so you dont miss anything and get a high res tracking shot of the motion. I connected this with the new 8 channel NVR. At first the PG cam didnt work but after doing a manual firmware update on the NVR it all works together flawlessly. Tremendous value.

  • Good idea, poor execution

The idea of combining a fix panoramic surveillance camera and a movable/PTZ camera is a good idea. But this model has its limitations. It's badly designed.
The PTZ camera can be moved vertically very limited only. From horizontally even to about 45 degrees down. The PTZ camera cannot see what is above the camera and cannot seewhat is directly under the camera as you cannot move down the PTZ camera so strong downwards.

Another negative impact is, that both modules are tight fit together. So the panoramic camera cannot be adjusted vertically, horizontally only.

As I have tested this camera after I have received them, I would like to return it. Next time I'll watch more the pictures and ask myself what the camera can do or not.

If you need a panoramic camera and a PTZ Camera, then buy two cameras:
    A Duo3 or Duo3V and an RLC-823A.

  • Hopeful for better updates

A great idea in essence but needs more development. The 180 dual lenses does not give near the same quality as the Duo series. Image stitching is distorted (a straight walk way looks like a wide U). Image quality on both cameras is very good. The ability to have the camera on a corner with the 180 lenses viewing one area and the Pan/Tilt viewing another is amazing. The down side is the cameras don't talk well. If there is movement on the 180 lenses, the P/T lense will get stuck at a point midway trying to track to the movement (within the range of tracking). If you mark an area on the 180 lenses as non-detection zone, the P/T does not use the same (2 seperate camera zones). The P/T camera stutters when tracking. The vertical tilt on the P/T is extremely limited so don't expect to be able to look straight down if mounted up above. The cable is a lot shorter compared to the trackmix so if you are doing a camera swap, pre-plan thoroughly before mounting. Overall, great idea but product needs more work!
