Great camera but since it does have 180 degree field of view I have problems the rains gutters coming into my field of view too close. You can use privacy block to eliminate the view and make it a bit less wide but here is the problem. The Infa red lights and spotlight when on relfect off the gutters and come back inot the lense and at night make it unusable. The answer I found was just disable all the lights. I wish they offered more accesories so on my wall mount I could have dropped the camera down about 12 inches lower to avoid my problem but they dont. I needed to re-use the wall mount as that is where my older Reolink camera was mounted

I bought the Duo 2 POE as an upgrade to replace one of the original Duo POE's that I received as a beta tester. The original unit was decent but I was looking to upgrade the resolution as I use it view wildlife in the back yard and I was not able to zoom in with any decent clarity. While the Duo 2 offers a huge improvement in Field of View and overall resolution, the zoomed image of the 8MP model is somehow worse than the 4MP version. It's a great image for simple viewing, especially for a panoramic view but it degrades at even the slighest use of zoom. This may be partially due from them stitching both views into a single image now where the original unit allowed to view each cam feed individually, or it's just math with more pixels spread out over a larger area equals less final resolution. Hopefully it's more the first reason as future firmware or client changes may offer some options currently not available. I'd like the option to view each camera individually like the original version to see if that offers any improvement.

Since it still provides an impressive panoramic, I plan to keep this view and supplement it with one of the RLC-823A's with 16x zoom to get the details I want from our wildlife. To be honest, I was probably going to do this anyways because the only thing I like more than Reolink cameras is close-ups of our wildlife. :)

When Reolink upgrades the FPS to 30 (or more) and also including BLC / WDR controls and decrease the bandwith consuption I will give 5 stars, for now 4. But it´s a good camera with restricted features available.

Reolink have done a great job with this camera. I has enabled me to capture my entire carpark easily with one feature packed camera. The newest model they send out now fixes any issues you might read about with water in the reset button. This has a seal on the button now.

The cameras have great features and make going through footage and searching and filtering a breeze.

I’ve been a fan of Reolink for about four years, and overall, I’ve had great experiences with their products. When it came time to set up a surveillance system for our new build, I went with the Smart 12MP PoE kit, which includes four 12MP Ultra HD cameras and an 8-channel NVR.

To improve the front yard coverage, I added two standalone RLC-1212A cameras. Since I only had one Ethernet line run to the front porch soffit, I decided to try the RLA-POECS1 splitter in hopes of powering both cameras from that single connection. Unfortunately, after several days of testing, I found that the splitter worked with two of the included B1200-12MP cameras but not with the RLC-1212A models.

I spent two weekends troubleshooting every possible configuration, one camera would show a live feed while the other had power but no data feed to the NVR or app. Reolink support was very responsive and helpful, but ultimately, no solid solution was found. I even purchased additional splitters thinking one might be defective, but that wasn’t the case. After a lot of trial and error on the porch, I decided to move on from that setup.

Next, I tried the 16MP UHD Dual-Lens PoE camera (Duo 3 PoE) with its 180° panoramic view. It’s a well-built camera with a solid, modern design, and I was initially impressed. However, I did notice the image quality wasn’t quite on par with my RLC-1212A cameras, which I later confirmed with Reolink. Their support explained that the Duo 3 PoE uses two 8MP lenses to achieve its wider field of view, so some loss of detail when zooming in is expected compared to the higher-resolution single-lens RLC-1212A.

I also bought the RLA-BKC1 corner mount bracket for the Duo 3, and it’s excellent, very sturdy, easy to install, and looks great mounted on our porch column. My wife even commented that the camera resembles Wall-E from Disney, so I made a small decal to match, which adds a fun touch.

While I did end up with a few extra RLC-1212A cameras and splitters that I can’t return, I’m giving the Duo 3 PoE a fair trial over the next week. It’s a solid, nicely designed camera that definitely enhances our coverage area, even if the resolution doesn’t quite match the 1212A’s detail.

Reolink continues to impress me with their quick response times and support, usually replying by the next day and that’s a big reason I continue to use their products. I’m still on the fence about keeping the Duo 3 PoE, but I have high expectations thanks to my great experience with the RLC-1212A.

Hopefully, this review helps others decide whether the Duo 3 PoE fits their needs.

Installed on the back of my house... It looks great and the picture quality is great! I'm using this in conjunction with a reolink NVR and it's working fantastic!

My only issue is that I'm unable to view the high quality stream in the reolink app. The fluent or lower quality stream works fine and is sufficient for my needs.

Highly recommended over two separate cameras!

DVR needed firmware upgrade to use. Was not the easiest to configure and needed support from Reolink to get files for upgrade. Great performance after setup.

My first Reolink cameras mount very close under the eaves on my house so they are very obscure. Their cables are also not exposed. But this camera's mounting bracket forces the camera to hang too low under the eaves of my ranch style home and the large black face on the camera makes the camera very obvious from the street. The ethernet connector on the cable will not pass through the hole in the mounting bracket. This, plus the fact that the cable comes out of the back of the camera instead of near the point the camera mounts to the bracket, makes the cable more easily accessible from the ground if someone has something they can hook it with. Honestly, this is my first disappointment in Reolink products.

I have had a POE Duo 2 outside watching my carpark for about 3 years now. It is out in the elements all the time and always perform flawlessly. Great quality vision, excellent features and a great mobile application as well. The 180 degree view is excellent for easily covering large areas. Just about to order another one for my house.

I've got two of these 180 degrees cameras. One is fixed on my house, looking at my Backyard. The other is in the far end of the Backyard. So they are actually looking at each other. This gives a very good overview.
My yard is full of birds, foxes, cats squirrels and other animals. For giving a closer look at the Wildlife, I even got a RLC 823S2 to zoom closer to th wild life.
I am very satisfyed to have all 3 cameras, but it gave me an idea for the future models. Or maybe for the NVR's of the future:
When something moves, the RLC follows the movement. It is doing a good job on this, but what if it could be controlled by the other cameras. The RLC always points at one place, missing the movements in other places. It would be very nice, if the other cameras could tell the RLC, where the action is.
I know its a big mouthfull to figure out, but with the AI implementing everything, this would be something to consider.
Thank for your fine products. I have not bought my last Reolink yet. There will be more in the future.....

I have three of these cameras and will not buy any more. My complaint is not so much with the camera, but with the use of the Windows Client. In all of my 12 other cameras of various models, when using the Windows Client, choosing the display resolution of "High (Clear)", it sticks. That is when you switch to other cameras and come back to this one, it is still set to "High".
However, with my two latest Duo 2 cameras, this setting does not "stick". Every time the camera is selected, it comes up in "Low (Fluent)" and has to be changed to "High (Clear)". This is a major flaw and I was told that it was done on purpose.
This is not a problem with the iOS App but who wants to continuesly monitor 14 cameras with an iPhone.
