I bought this camera off of the website April 29, 2021. I have already discontinued using it. It randomly disconnects from the wifi and randomly reconnects. The camera features are good when it works, but it only seems to work half the time. I don't recommend buying one.

I purchased one of these cameras to replace a Google Nest camera due to its poor image and unreliable Wi-Fi connection.

I could not be happier.

The image is crystal clear.
Person and Vehicle detection works perfectly. Hardly get any false alarms
Using a 256GB SD Card I get just over 7 days of continuous recording (24/7)

All with no subscription (Google just increased theirs to $120 for my 1 camera)

I will be buying more Reolink cameras to cover more of my property in the not-too-distant future.

I set up two of these outdoors and find the 2160p video super crisp. I have both recording to an NAS via FTP. No special directory initialization hassles; just enter the NAS directory location & credentials and the camera starts sending video. The video naming protocol is logical too (Name of camera + date-time). The HEVC265 format makes 600MB (max size in setup) videos that are 23-24 minutes long at 2160p.

To set up, I plugged the camera into the back of my router and then installed the app on my phone. The camera grabbed a DHCP address once I started configuration on the phone. My phone app hung at the password setup step and I ended up finishing configuration from the Windows app. Once WiFi is set up, you can login via Internet.

Notes:
The spotlight feature is enabled by default, so set up the mask or your neighbors might be in for a light show. Mine was activating when someone walked by on the other side of the road after dark.

You must have an SD card installed to configure "Storage". Once you set up NAS or other remote storage, the SD can be removed - this disables the Storage menu though.

I set the WiFi to 2.4G and got one more bar of reception. It also eliminated a random popping noise that one of the cameras was getting on 5G.

PS - Don't judge me by my yard. We've been alternating between drought and deluge for three years here.

I have had the opportunity to trial the https://reolink.com/product/rlc-510wa/ and it is a dream in every sense.

Through opening the box and having extra cable included and I used the reolink community help to get it all set up without any real issues.

The reolink community is great when you are unsure of anything, everyone is helpful, video help and customer service.

The camera is extremely quick to send out alerts, people and cars with registration numbers.

We are very impressed with the clear images day or night. Clear picture focus when zooming in is great.

I will add more as time goes on.

I have been testing the camera in an indoor environment, it has performed exceptionally well and exceeded my expectations, the Wifi 6 connection has proven to speed up connection time and live streaming connection.

The night vision works very well, and the transition from night vision to colour night vision with spotlight is seamless and fast, I have been very impressed with the performance.
I am in the process of moving this camera outdoors to test but am very impressed with the performances of this unit.

As a retired loss prevention and security expert I can provide a honest professtional review of this camera.
The camera has worked flaslasly for over two years. Easy to add and remove internet providers if required. Super easy to install and operate. With a whole home solar system with back up batteries there is never a worry about lack of electricity.

I have this camera for a few months now and I must say that overall I am satisfied with it. Image quality is good night and day. I have it connected on wifi ac on my router and connection is stable. I use Synology DS Cam app when I am away, Synology NAS for 24/7 recordings and motion detection and TinyCam on an android tablet for live view and it works perfectly. Reolink apps for phone and PC are good but since I have a mix of different cameras I prefer Synology to have all of them in one view. Alexa support is not perfect, it takes almost 10 seconds to have the video on screen on the Echo Show but I rarely use this feature anyway...

Arrivata nei tempi indicati, con un libricino di istruzioni di 4 pagine. Configurata in LAN con DYNDNS, con tanta difficolta a cusa delle apertura porte del Router. Il prodotto ha tante possibilita e configurazioni possibili, funzionano tutte. Ma manca completamente la documentazione. Sul sito Reolink ci sono tante istruzioni e disposte a specifiche domande. ma avrei preferito un manuale in PDF che spieghi tutto. Ora funziona bene e tutto sommato ne sono contento.
