Only reason for the low rating is because I wish reolink would give its customers a heads-up regarding new items. For example I recently bought 4 cx410 cameras that i have still in the boxes not used.
But recently after watching some ces 2024 videos now they introduced the cx810.
If I had known I would have held off and waited for those to come out.

I’ve been using the Reolink CX820 for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed—especially with the color night vision. Even with just plain garage lights (nothing fancy or high-powered), the camera captures clear, full-color footage at night. The image quality is sharp, and the colors are surprisingly accurate in low light conditions.

Setup was straightforward, and the app makes it easy to monitor live feeds or review footage. The CX820 also handles motion detection well without excessive false alerts.

If you're looking for a security camera that performs well at night without needing expensive lighting, this one is a solid choice. It gives me peace of mind knowing I can clearly see what’s happening around my property, day or night.

Die Kamera erfüllt alle meine Erwartungen.
Es ist unsere erste Kamera mit ColorX-Nachtsicht und ich finde sie hervorragend. Das Infrarot Licht nutzen wir deshalb überhaupt nicht.
Wir haben die Kamera zum Garten ausgerichtet, da wir herausfinden wollten, warum unsere Büsche dieses Jahr so wenig Blüten haben.
Bald hatten wir die Auflösung: Rehe

Inzwischen haben wir die Kamera auch in unser Smarthome eingebunden und nutzen die intelligente Bewegungserkennung.
Die bisherigen IR-Bewegungsmelder, werden wir nun nach und nach durch Kameras ersetzen. So wird das Licht im Garten nun nur eingeschaltet, wenn eine Person oder im Garten auch ein Tier erkannt wird und nicht nur, weil sich die Büsche oder Bäume im Wind bewegen.
Dazu weiß man dann auch immer gleich, wer sich da gerade ums Haus herum treibt.

I purchased a few different camera types just to see the image quality,
I'm disappointed I only got one of the CX820 cameras as the colour night quality is so good I had to check the first night that I'd actually turned the garage light off.

I have several different Reolink POE cameras and the CX810 is my favorite. I love how it's able to show color video at night when there is just a little bit of light off in the distance. There is a street lamp down the street that kind of lights the side of my house, and the CX810 is able to use that light to make it seem like there is a brighter light much closer to the camera. The video quality is superb during the day, and still very good at night.

I have just replaced an RLC820a with the CX410, with the aim to improve the performance at night. The drop in resolution from 4k to 2k is quite noticeable, but the performance in the dark is incomparable and a very worthwhile trade off for me. Even with the streetlights off it maintains a colour picture - very impressive stuff.

Been using this product for a while and it's been amazing, the quality is really great. My backyard is pitch dark and camera is working flawlessly.
