I wanted this cam for it's 145 degree diagonal FOV. It's well worth it. 12MP day time, IR night time, and Spotlight are crisp. IR with the CMOS sensor does SUPER good in the dark. The spotlight feels like 1 60w soft bulb outside. Which isnt not BAD. It gives me enough light in front of my garage door, that is pitch dark, so I can make it to the front door. It wont light up your yard, but it do its job for a small area.

The nice part is, it HAS few MP settings you can drop it quality down too. 12MP down to 4K and below. Gives you an option of applying to a 3rd party NVR that cant support the 12MP. Then still give you the option to future proof it, when you get the device that can handle 12MP video.

145 diag FOV is great! It splashes a wide area while being crisp still.

Also, please remember to install the cam before taking off the plastic from the glass dome. It will get smudged. Even I did the same and still smudged it. Terry Cloth wipe down and it was back to normal. You can buy terry cloth squares on Amazon for cheap. invest in a pack.

AI is very responsive with this cam. I have a Duo 3 POE and its response faster than it.

I would recommend this cam to anyone. 12MP, a fairly good CMOS rating, and 145 degree Diaf FOV... you cant go wrong!

I've bought this camera to fix it to the carport as nights before some cars in the neigbourhood were damaged. With this camera I can see the whole carport and parts of the way to the carport. In combination with a home hub pro a perfect solution. You have good feeling ao security even when you are not at home.

I had high hopes for this RLC-1240A 12mp extended screen 4K camera. (4512x2512 resolution vs the regular 3840x2160)
-It works fine in Preview mode on my NVR monitor but when I try to switch it to full screen I get an error message saying that the resolution is not supported -even though the NVR manual says it supports the 12mp camera. I have the latest firmware installed in the NVR, but even so, the only way I could get this camera to display full screen was if I lowered the camera's resolution to 3840x2160 -which kind of defeats the purpose of having an extended screen in the first place. I'm not happy about that.
As well, there are issues with the infrared lights for night viewing. There are a hugely unacceptable number of internal reflections and visual artifacts (from the clear housing) visible in the image when the infrared is turned on. I'm either forced to use the regular lights, which would screw up my stealth installation or I have to install separate infrared illuminators. I'm not happy about that either.
All in all it's a very nicely built, solid little camera that doesn't do a very good job in a couple critical areas.
I don't recommend it.

Great camera. I was very disappointed with night vision as supplied. With help from others this has improved. The problem was glare from the protective dome. It was very bad in the centre. I have since turned off IR and spotlight causing blurry centre. Also turned colour on full time . Great improvement. I have seperate sensor lights near the camera which now supplies great light for camera. So in my opinion the dome is the problem. Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Bob

Easy to install and setup via the app. The 180 FoV is well stitched together, with very minor alignment adjustments required. Daytime vision is great, while nighttime was average. I had to turn off the IR lights as the image was full of glare from the dome I'm assuming.. Even using the spotlights at night didn't help. Luckily I have enough ambient lighting to allow me to do this and have good night vision. Object detection seems to be better than the other reolink cameras I have, including the Track mix POE. Overall I'd give it 7.5/10

Malheureusement je ne trouve pas la couleur black disponible pour ce modèle et d'autres également.
Là ou bon nombre d'autres marque la propose déjà, la couleur noir plus 'discrète' sur une façade sera elle disponible prochainement ?

Excellent camera dôme discrétion assuré pour une 2560x1920 à 5 mégapixels elle donnes des images d'excellente qualité en low et plus encore en High pour une super vue en diagonale de 130° à ne pas hésité rapport qualité prix et prestation elle est incroyable. Elle est aussi performante que mon autre cameras la RLC-1212A à 12 megapixels. des images de jour comme de nuit en IR, oui oui je la recommande.

Bonjour, en photos pieces joints une capture d'écran avec mon Macbook, comparaison de quatre camera Reolink, y compris celle concerné la Reolink RLC-540A. Pour un rapport qualité prix c'est quasiment imbattable aux autres cameras que je ne regrette pas de les avoirs.
