Easy to install, does the trick.Has trouble connecting sometimes but still records so you can always go back a play anything you miss.
Motion detection is a little slow. A lot of times you just get people leaving or walking out of the frame.

The camera is good. Push notifications are slow. The mobile app was OK for the first device but requires Wozniak to add it to the second. The desktop app is completely useless because the passcode will not accept. For this install, the passcode was changed specifically for this task to ensure it was correct the desktop software reinstalled in windows. The software will not log in with a constant "wrong password".

Make it better, once a device is logged into the camera, there should be a simple code, like a phone number, to be able to view my camera from another one of my devices. Obviously, I have access to the camera cause I'm looking at the picture from it, now let me set the rest of it up easy. I don't want to have to go through the initial setup every time. You get 3 stars because the camera worked and I can see it on my phone. Not a great product. Other products are "send a link and you in" easy.

The image size this Reolink sends via email alert is poor. The size is only 640x360. Why ? I think this camera could do better ?

As others have commented on this camera (Argus Eco) it shows very clear images but misses any visitors approaching or leaving the premises so not very good for security. OK to check on the weather outside but for that I could look out a window.
It looks OK and I guess there is some deterrent effect if someone checking on security devices might be persuaded to look elsewhere before attempting a break in.

For the most part the camera does what I need it to do. However, two issues that are very annoying. I bought a Reolink NVR and this camera can not be used with it. The PC app and phone app both have no issues but you can not add the camera to the NVR. The other is the timeout warning. It's on solar and battery, but there is no way to adjust the timeframe for the warning. So I constantly have to push cancel on the warning to stop the countdown from cutting the camera feed off. I've never been below 95% battery and it you need the ability to have the feed on longer.

I purchased two of these to replace some other wireless security cameras I had that were not working right. These were easy to set up and use. I have been very pleased with them. One I have the solar charger in place, and have not needed to touch the camera for eight months. The other I need to charge maybe every three to four months. Well designed and easy....just what I wanted. The alert on my phone was also easy to set up and has been reliable.

I ordered this camera to add an extra layer of security. The setup process was extremely easy. I chose to setup using the Android app instead of downloading the client software onto my computer. The app asks for your Wi-Fi details, then uses your phone's camera to scan a QR code on the actual camera, and then configures the camera with the Wi-Fi settings you just entered! The kit includes everything you need to install both the solar panel, and the actual camera. A lot of time was saved since this is plug and play, without the need to run Ethernet/power. The only extra thing I needed to purchase was a 64GB SD Card (64GB is the max it supports).

The solar panel and battery capacity are more than enough to power the camera overnight. Even on a cloudy day, the battery was always at 100% before nightfall (I will report back if this changes during winter). The picture quality is great and faces/licence plates can easily be identified. Night vision was surprisingly good too. The notifications when movement is detected works well, and playing around with the detection sensitivity stopped false positives I was getting before (branches moving in the wind). As an added bonus there is also 7 days/1GB of free cloud storage (requires an email sign up).

My only complaint is that you cannot configure activity zones and zones to ignore (e.g where wind constantly blows branches on a tree). After looking into it, it seems non of the battery powered cameras have this, and my guess is that it would be too much of a drain on the battery to have the camera constantly process/ignore activity zones.

I am very happy with this camera/solar panel kit, and it gets the job done! It is also a good way to get notified when couriers have delivered your packages :)

Have been using this camera now for several months and the experience has been overall very good.
The camera was very easy to set up, the image quality is very good during daytime and I was especially happy about the image quality during night time and the 2-way audio works great as the microphone on the camera pics up sounds very good and the speaker is loud enough for people outside to hear what you are saying.
Securing the camera either with screws of with the strap is simple and quick and removing the camera for cleaning and maintenance is easy due to the way it can be removed from the based without any tools.
Battery life on this device is excellent as it can last several weeks if not used for continuous live viewing or being in an area where the motion detection is triggered continuously.
There are some issues as well with the device. There seems to be a very high delay with the video to what is happening live. The motion detection works really good, better than with some other brands but, the recording seems to start with a big delay when motion is detected which causes a lot of issues as the person/vehicle that caused the motion detection has usually passed by the time the recording starts. Some other vendors have the capability of including something like 20 seconds of recording before the motion started which this Reolink device cannot seem to be able to do and this is something that lowers the usability of this device.

I did also have some issues with moisture and water getting in to the device despite it being an IP65 certified device. It could be that my device was just a slightly defective one but the water broke something and the image quality was deteriorated permanently to the point where it was not usable. Reolinks excellent support was luckily there to help and eventually the device was warranty replaced, so I can definitely give high marks to Reolinks support.
I did notice later on that the broken device also had an issue with its power switch as the small plastic stick broke due to the device being turned off and on (while trying to fix the water issue) multiple times.
This is something any buyer should be aware of, in case you need to turn the device on and off regularly then I would take caution as the switch does seem to break fairly easily.

Overall it is a very good camera for the price, unfortunately these few issues lower my rating of it but buyers should not be shun due to them as it still makes a great security camera for homes.
Hopefully Reolink will have an Eco 2 coming out soon where some of these issues have been fixed or improved as I would definitely be interested in it.

We have the Reolink Argus Eco watching our Front Door and checking who is stopping by when we are not home. The zoom is great to see their faces and also knowing if we get packages. We have found the kids around the area using our driveway and front lawn as a playground.
Yes we are planning on more cameras to keep us safe.

I bought the eco Argus three years ago. It took me a bit to set up the wireless system, I also had the part that screws the solar panel to the mounting bracket. Strip. I emailed Reo, she was very helpful replacing my parts and I mounted the system on my vacation house three hours from home every time I pull it up on my cell phone the battery is always charged and the picture is very clear. After using the I’m ready to buy several more solar camera systems for my house

Von diesen "Wunderkameras habe ich im Sommer 4 Stück rund ums Haus installiert. Bis zu den ersten
Kälte- bzw. Schneetagen war ich mit diesen Kameras weitgehend zufrieden. Aufgeladen habe ich diese
mit hochswertigen Anker-Akkus. Jetzt haben wir ersten Tage bzw. Nächte unter 0 Grad und Schnee.
Und siehe da, die Kamera-Akkus lassen sich nicht mehr aufladen. Da kommt Freude auf. Die Dinger kann
ich nun wegschmeißen. Um Gottes Willen: niemals diese Kameras kaufen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does Reolink cameras specially Argos eco works stand alone, I mean if there is no wifi and mobile internet available would this camera works normal and stores videos and pictures in the MicroSD card that I could check and view the materials later when I take it to the area with the wifi or mobile access.

Pro:
- Batteriebetrieben hält sie mehrere Wochen
- Bild ist für den Preis in Ordnung

Kontra:
- mit Ladekabel ist die Kamera auf keinen Fall mehr Wetterbeständig
- Kein Netzteil im Lieferumfang
- laut App wegen der Batterie nicht für den Dauerbetrieb geeignet?!
- wie soll ich ein Kamera am Wallmount (womöglich in 3 Meter Höhe) laden?

Fazit:
Als Outdoor Kamera macht sie nur mobil Sinn und dann ist der Wallmount Sinnfrei
Der Gurt zum schnellen Festzurren macht dann wiederum Sinn aber alles in allem ist sie als feste Sicherheitskamera ungeeignet. Dies ist aber anhand der Produktbeschreibung nicht ersichtlich.
Meine gehen somit zurück und ich nehme dann doch das Modell ohne Batterie.
