I agree that this needs to be addressed in a near-future release. I believe this is a must-have for any security camera software.

This is an important feature for me since I’d be recording 24/7. Ideally, it’d be viewable in the web interface not just the Windows/Mac client software.

It could be something as simple as a list of the events. One for each camera. The user double-clicks on each event and the video starts playing from the time index.

This is one key thing holding me back from getting a Reolink NVR.

For now, I could set up a local FTP server at home and have each camera record the motion events to it, which would at least make it easy to browse through. But if I wanted to see just before or after an event, I’d have to manually go and find it in the 24/7 recordings. So still not ideal.

Adding another vote for this feature. In my opinion this is the only downfall of my Reolink system. What’s the point of having alerts with 24/7 recording if it will take hours to find when the motion was detected?

Your request has been collected. Engineering is reviewing the feasibility of implementing this idea. We’ll schedule to implement the request if it’s accepted. Otherwise it goes to the suggestion pool and may be reactivated if others make similar requests again. Thank you sincerely for sharing your thoughts. We will take your request seriously and work hard to make our products better~

Bob, what is the status of our request?

What’s the status of this request? It’s such a basic feature of a CCTV system it’s actually ridiculous we have to ask for it,let alone beg for it.

Seems they don’t care about customer feedback.

I agree, this is basic functionality and has been asked for on all forum sections (general (this page), client, and mobile). Can we at least know if this has been “accepted” and will be in a future software update?

Thank you for giving us an update! Knowing it is at least being worked on is much better than being in the dark.

Thanks for the update. I hope this will be a search feature for the PC or app software and not just a search from the NVR.

This is definitely a needed function for not only the PC software, but also the mobile device software. I also record 24/7 on all my cameras, and not being able to search and event / alarm is frustrating

I guess this answers my question from here /topic/nvr-motion-detection/ Add another vote from me. I’m planning on keeping the NVR in my attic or garage so local access is not an option.

Hi, yes, the Mac client has supported this now. But the Windows version still needs more time and we will try to finish it soon. Have a nice day!

Hi, As a new reolink customer I have been scratching my head bald trying to figure out how to view motion events on my phone and windows pc. I’m able to view them directly from the NVR.

In version V7.2.2.28 Windows client it states in the improvements “The playback file will be marked with red to identify the alarm
video.” Is this the feature were talking about in this thread? Because I still cannot see any red in my timeline.

Can anyone confirm if this feature of viewing motion alerts on Windows client and Android app is currently in development?

    Regards RChuck
