The Reolink RLK16-800D8 delivers 4K Ultra HD video at 3840 × 2160 resolution, offering four times the pixels of 1080p cameras. Each camera captures important details such as faces, packages, logos, and license plate numbers, while the built-in microphone records audio for additional evidence.

The Reolink RLK16-800D8 cameras use powerful infrared LEDs to capture clear footage up to 100ft (30m) in the dark. Advanced 3D DNR technology reduces image noise and graininess, preserving important details for more reliable nighttime monitoring.

The key difference is standalone operation and storage flexibility. The D800 is a kit camera that requires a compatible Reolink NVR, while the RLC-820A can operate independently and supports microSD card storage up to 512GB, FTP, or NVR recording. The RLC-820A also supports up to 25 FPS, compared with 20 FPS on the D800. Both cameras offer 4K resolution, an 87° horizontal field of view, and infrared night vision up to 100ft. The D800 is better suited to an NVR-based system, while the RLC-820A offers more flexibility for individual installations.
Yes. The RLK16-800D8 comes with eight D800 PoE cameras and an RLN16-410 NVR that supports up to 24 cameras in total, including a maximum of 16 wired cameras.
No. The D800 includes a built-in microphone to record sounds alongside video, but it does not have a speaker for two-way communication or spotlights for color night vision. Instead, its 18 infrared LEDs provide black-and-white night vision up to 100ft (30m), while 3D DNR technology reduces image noise.
Yes. The RLK16-800D8 is a good choice for larger homes and properties that need continuous monitoring across multiple locations. Its eight 4K PoE cameras can cover entrances, driveways, garages, and backyards, while the pre-installed 4TB HDD stores recordings locally without monthly fees and supports expansion up to 16TB.
