When you power on the NVR for the first time, follow the instructions to complete the basic configuration.
This NVR supports up to 12 Reolink cameras, including a mix of PoE and plug-in Wi-Fi models (up to 8 in total). It’s also compatible with select battery-powered Wi-Fi cameras. Start with the four included cameras and add more to monitor additional entrances, driveways, or other areas of your property. You can expand your coverage as your security needs change without replacing the existing NVR.

Yes. The RLK8-800D4's NVR supports up to 12 Reolink cameras in total, including a maximum of 8 PoE and plug-in Wi-Fi cameras combined. You can also add compatible battery-powered Wi-Fi cameras using the remaining channels.
The RLK8-800D4 includes four D800 dome cameras with a compact, rounded design, while the RLK8-800B4 comes with four B800 bullet cameras with an elongated housing. Both kits include the RLN8-410 NVR, so there is no difference in the NVR model.
The main difference is how they operate. The RLK8-800D4 includes four D800 cameras without individual UIDs, so remote access and recording are managed through a Reolink NVR. Standalone Reolink cameras have their own UIDs, allowing independent remote access through the Reolink App. Most standalone models also support microSD card storage and third-party protocols, while D800 cameras do not support these functions independently.

The RLK8-800D4 can store approximately 7 days 7 hours of continuous 24/7 footage from all four cameras at the default bitrate of 6144 Kbps per camera. Actual recording time depends on the bitrate, number of connected cameras, and recording mode.
