I intend to buy 3 or 4 RLC-422 cameras but not until the brackets are available.
Do you have an estimated date when they will be in stock again?

I have the current Reolink cameras inside the house and in the alley out back.
I want the 12x zoom for the street in front so if I find one I like I may just go with no Reolink in front and use the separate apps without integration. But I'd rather use all Reolink if I could.

This issue was resolved by the camera firmware update.

Thanks Bob. I hope your team moves quickly to fix these issues.
I'm willing to continue in good faith with my cameras but I'll have to hold off the recommendation to my neighborhood association until I see the actual fixes.

It seems another change to the playback timeline bar in this release allows a double-tap of the bar to toggle the upper timeline between a 2 hour span and a 10 minute span. Very nice feature! I'm surprised you did not mention it in your response to my post. Be sure to mention the feature in your documentation.

Also, I was all set to recommend Reolink to my neighbors and to my entire neighborhood association (hundreds of houses) but these negative changes have made me pause to first discuss this with you.

+1 for automatic live stream on mobile/cellular data.
I get why you do it to avoid nasty surprises on data usage but give us the option to make it automatic.

@philip, I don't have an Argus 2 but it may have the same issue as my C1 Pro.

When the C1-Pro is mounted to the ceiling (base pointing up), the motion detection grid is mirror image for vertical detection. Meaning, I had to define the grid to cover the bottom half of the displayed picture in order to actually detect at the top half of the picture.

See the attached screenshot. This is how I had to set the motion detect grid to AVOID detecting my dog walking on the floor at the bottom of the picture.

    @bob
Thanks for the quick reply, but you are mistaken.

    See my images below.
When the template is placed on a surface with the printed side facing you, the hole for the wire is located at approximately 108 degrees from top-dead-center (about 3:30 if the template were a clock face).
When the camera is placed on top of the template, the wire is actually located at approximately 72 degrees from top-dead-center (about 2:30 if the template were a clock face).

If you flip the template so the printed side is facing the mounting surface and rotate the template 180 degrees, then the hole for the wire will match the actual location of the wire on the camera.
But your instructions (/faq/mount-reolink-ip-camera-rlc-422/) show the printed side facing the installer. So please either correct your instructions or correct your template.

Also, to say the diameter of the circle on the template ”doesn't matter” is very short-sighted. Before I ever took the camera outside to the mounting location, I took the printed template cut down to the diameter of the printed circle. Later I realized my initial review for placement using the template was ”off” because the diameter of the printed circle did not match the actual diameter of the camera.

After the success of the new firmware on the RLC-411WS and C1 Pro, I decided to buy a RLC-422W.
After updating the firmware on the RLC-422W it can also connect and stream using 4G/LTE.

    Hi Andy,

After updating the firmware, I found it was best to delete the existing camera from the mobile app and add it again like it was a new camera.

    Regards,
    Tom
