Sorry, this is kind of an old thread, but the issue still has not been resolved. THE RLN16-410 NVR WILL NOT GIVE YOU THE OPTIONS TO ONLY SEND IMAGES OR TO GIVE YOU A CUSTOM TIME FRAME TO SEND THEM. My C1 Camera does give this option and it works great. My systems (7 RLN16-410 sytems with 12 cameras each) need to have this option. Your image above is from a standalone camera and not the NVR by the way.

Most Secure Home on the Block:   Anyone who comes to my door knows that they are being watched (I have various cameras at each entrance point). I have reolink stickers on my windows to also further deter criminals. Statistically, fewer homes are broken into that have security signs or stickers (even if they don't really have a security system).  But wait, what if the thief is really smart and cuts my internet and power off? Well, a mobile hotspot and a ups is the solution. But what if they steal my cameras? Solution: My email gets a few images (high res) of every person trying to enter my home, I will still have their image (as long as they aren't in one of those scary ski mask things). Once I get an alert I can check to see what package is being left at the door, or if someone is trying to break in…    The Very Very Best solution to secure my home:   a big plate of cookies for your next door neighbor! As long as you trust them, let them know that you will be out of town and would appreciate it if they would keep an eye on things. Give them your phone number and let them know that you are also a good neighbor who cares about them.             Hope your homes are safe! Have an awesome summer!

I have to agree with doughboy611 on the whole rewind fast forward thing being a flaw.  Yes that is fine that it is like a youtube video or what be it, but that doesn't justify the issue. I have various stores (14 in total) 4 of them currently have 16 channel dvr systems installed. I also have a few other brands installed. Why is it that I can fast forward/rewind on every other system besides my reolink systems? In fact, most of my systems (including hikivision and gw security) can fast forward/rewind at upto 64x. In both of those cases, the cameras are IP 3k and 5k cameras and they use a dedicated dvr.        – If this is going to be a mainstream system that can compete, someone will need to go back to the drawing board on their software/hardware design. Sure it is probably overwhelming to the software engineers, but either way, without it, this system IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE FLAWED.  By the way, there are things that I enjoy about this system over the other systems, but those things amount to very very very little when factoring in the rewind/fast forward functions. I hope that Reolink can motivate themselves not only for our benefit of having an awesome system, but also for their benefit of creating a company that will have no limits.

    http://www.hikvision.com/us/Products_1_10531_i8708.html      — 3mp up to 1/100,000 shutter speed.

Of course 1/100,000 would be nearly pointless (unless viewing the sun), but try 1/1000 on the RLC-410 and tell me what happens. Again, I'm not downplaying reolink, I just spent $5000 with them. All I want to know is what their shutter speed is in color. Everything in color is blurry if I pause or take a snapshot of something moving (even fairly slowly).  Thanks!

You cannot adjust the shutter speed in manual mode while in color. By the way, if you try the shutter speed at 1/1000, you will have a weird interference (shadows going up and down the screen quickly) – again only possible in black and white mode. I can't believe that the max shutter speed is only 1/1000 still. Other similar cameras can be adjusted to more than 1/100,000. This camera's shutter speed is actually 1000 times poorer than many others out there (of comparable price).  —- Again, what is the max shutter speed for color mode (if the camera was looking straight at the sun if that helps). Again, are there any other hints to improve clarity on a slow moving object?

That is not an answer. ”What is the fastest shutter speed on the camera in color mode”, was the question. So assuming ideal conditions for max shutter speed, what would it be?   Hoping for Reolink to give a more detailed response.
