Is it possible to add the Argus to the PC client? I'm trying to backup my recordings over FTP. When I hit ”scan device in LAN” nothing happens. When I try to add manually, i'm not sure if i'm using the correct information. Lastly, would being on different frequencies matter? My 2.4 and 5 ghz have the same SSID so that the band steering works (sends legacy devices to 2.4).December 14, 2017 at 11:44 am #79403
Hi, we will make it possible for Argus to be added to the desktop software in the near future.December 14, 2017 at 9:51 pm #79431
I'm not getting consistent push notifications when the cameras PIR is activated. Is the camera supposed to say ”connected” all the time? Mine doesn't.December 15, 2017 at 5:30 pm #79534
The camera status is not supposed to stay ”connected”. In order to save energy, it will be back to sleep if quit the live view, playback, or settings, in a few seconds. If you need to revisit it, simply tap to login again. Then the camera will wake up.
To constantly receive push, please make sure the Reolink App is running all the time at background. Do not let it be killed by task manager or something.January 10, 2018 at 8:35 am #90565
I just bought an Argus and was really excited to connect it to my Synology NAS's Surveillance System program. I also didn't realize there wasn't support for the Argus yet with Reolink's Client software until I read this. I know you said soon, but do you know the timeline for when the Argus will be supported? I bought it because I really like that it's 100% wireless.February 10, 2018 at 8:41 am #96356
Bob, when you do you expect this is going to work? Can you tell us something more specific than ”near future”? Days? Months?
I'm trying to decide whether to return all of the Argus cameras I purchased. Thanks!February 10, 2018 at 9:36 am #96357
We know you are so eager. But we are coming so close now.
If necessary, download and use this Client software that we are about to release.
Happy Holidays!February 10, 2018 at 10:03 am #96358
Thanks Bob! Any chance you have a beta version of the Mac OS X client I can try?February 10, 2018 at 12:05 pm #96367
Yes thank you, Bob! I also primarily use a Mac and if there is a Mac beta that would be awesome.February 11, 2018 at 7:17 am #96499
Thanks Bob. I'd also like to get hold of the Mac beta client.February 12, 2018 at 8:42 pm #96727
The Mac version will be ready soon. I will notify you on this thread.February 26, 2018 at 4:13 am #98625
Not to be a pest, but is there an update on when the Mac beta will be ready? Thanks.February 26, 2018 at 9:59 am #98667February 26, 2018 at 10:59 am #98670
I was going to try and direct message you but it looks like the Reolink forum doesn't support that.
I know you probably don't, but do you have even a rough guess as to how long until it will be available? You said soon, which is why I rechecked in 2 weeks.
I'm wanting to connect my Arguses to my NAS, which has an OS that has a surveillance app that supports Reolink cameras, I just need the client to get it setup and linked. Currently trying to Bootcamp my Mac with Windows to attempt the setup with the Windows beta. Wanting to buy a couple more Arguses but holding off at the moment.April 14, 2018 at 6:53 am #111430
I bootcamped my Mac and I'm running the beta client for the Argus for Windows. In the client, I can go to playback and there's an option to download a clip. I have downloaded a clip, but I can't figure out where the download is going. I've tried looking somewhere else in the client, My Downloads, as well as the Reolink Client folder in Program Files. Do you know where the downloaded video is going?
