To ensure the excellent heat dissipation of the IPC (main heat source), the camera casing is designed to be a heat dissipation area. There's only a thin layer of heat-conduction silica gel between the IPC and the camera casing to ensure minimum thermal resistance, which makes the temperature of the shall very close to that of the IPC.

Applies to: All Reolink cameras

As IPC is not a hand-held device (such as a mobile phone), the surface temperature is considered preferentially. Though the camera casing might be a little hot for your hands to touch after it reaches 50℃, the temperature is still very far below the IPC's limit of the working temperature (85℃).
